Love that cuppa when you come in from some garden-grafting.
When I came back in from my garden adventures today, I noticed the heating was on "for the Rugby".
I have finished dead-heading the Hydrangeas (buds aplenty!), pulled up a barrow-full of old brown foliage (new growth peeping), pulled up a Rock Rose which hadn't survived the Winter (not disappointed as old and was only green on ends) and loads of other pottering.
The tree felling/trimming looks good and I now have a little woodland clearing at the bottom of the garden so just thinking whether to plant-up or make a compost area...
Good job Hosta. I had lunch recently too after finishing my sewing, and it's now stopped raining, hailing etc so I'm thinking of going for a short walk with a bracing, chilly breeze and a pale blue sky above
Or I could do more hoovering.....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Cleared the leaves, picked moss out of the saxifrages and refilled the bird feeders. Had a cup of tea whilst chatting on the phone to an old friend. What a lovely afternoon...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
The wind calmed down before lunch time. One tree down where it doesn't matter too much, some more fence posts down in the summer paddock, and a sheet of polycarbonate is missing from the GH. Have searched and can't find it.
Then dentist son rang and said he could do the next stage of my crown, so now I have a post and another temporary crown.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Glad the damage isn't too bad BL. A pain when you have fence down though. Not the best conditions to get out and fix it, although presumably it's not where the horses are just now? Pity about the tooth though!
That sounds good Liri. Always nice to get some fresh air and a few jobs done
I got out for an hour or so for a brisk walk nearby then did some repairing to a bit of temporary fence at the back of the shed. I really don't like low level walking though. Forecast isn't too clever for tomorrow either - fog/mist everywhere. Plenty of snow - just won't be able to see where I'm going! I'll take a view on it in the morning as I'll be taking daughter to work at half six anyway. Might just drive north and do a hill I've done before and play with the ice axe. It's been pretty redundant this winter.
I'll have a nosey on here for a while before I have a cuppa and do some chores, and then it'll be time to collect older fairylet from work. A woman's work and all that...

Warm Hosts Hugs to lurgy sufferers.
Hubby and I re-edged the paths in my avatar photo. I said, "right, that's them done, let's go indoors" and it started to rain. Perfect timing .
Cuppa and a bit of lunch . Heating on now ( sorry Clari )
