Morning all, sun is shining. Shan't think about T & P and hope to get out and do some gardening and absorb some vitamin D. Horses, cat, birdies and OH all been fed breakfast.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I'm beginning to see Trump's and his lot screaming " it's all fake news" when they hear something they don't like, along the same lines as some, I repeat SOME of the Scottish YES campaigners saying " it's all Westminster interference"....See original post
Just as successive British governments and media over the years blamed everything on the EU ... then chickens came home to roost
It's wet outside now ... so a bit more h*wk is on the cards - the parquet needs buffing ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Won't be thinking about the vile Trump (or Putin, for that matter) this morning, or I'll cut too much off the apple trees...
I'm relieved to find that 60% of the trees are still labelled. I've made a diagram showing what's where, so anyone else can prune them if they have the knowhow (after all, I won't be around for ever, and it's clear the previous pruner just had the information in her head). I had to research an apple variety, "Dabinett", which I hadn't heard of. It's a cider apple. We need to find some way of labelling the trees with their type as well as variety name, so people don't try eating cider apples (or cookers, come to that) raw. Unfortunately some of the trees were planted too close to the medical centre's car park, and have had bits broken off - remedial pruning is required and I didn't have my saw with me the other day. It's an interesting challenge though.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Some years ago I changed my surname but most scammers use old information that they've paid little or nothing for ... don't you just love it when you get one of those phonecalls that you know is going to be about the viruses attacking your computer, and the chap asks if you're Mrs Esmerelda Billhooks and you say 'No'.
There was a silence, then he repeated his question ... again I said 'No'.
He said, 'You're not?' and I said 'No' again.
Another pause and some muttering ... then he hung up.
I shall continue with this tactic ... it's great fun

Morning
Wrote a post about Trump and left it for a bit rather than just posting.
Just as well - it was full of bile. Felt slightly better for bashing the keyboard though. Can't stand the man - very dangerous IMO.
Dry here so will go and do some more outside.
There was a lovely piece on Radio 4 yesterday, I believe it is a regular at the moment, where they answer peoples questions / concerns about BREXIT.
Yesterday it was a Cornish fisherman, who voted to leave.
He was extremely angry that the EU funding of the Cornish fishing industry, was not going to be matched by the UK government.
