That must be very superior fencing Obelixx. My wooden posts were 2.55€ each x 20 (he re-used a few of the old ones, 60€ for man to bang in posts and clear away the old ones and about 70€ for new electric white ribbon and insulators.
Here is "Grumpy" snowdrop.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
You're absolutely right Hosta - it's an obscenity. Like small change down the back of the settee for most ordinary people. No deterrent whatsoever, but without a change in the laws regarding fines....
Got any cauliflower cheese spare Dove? Pretty please
I'd far rather have that than a stir fry, if I'm honest! I rarely make it as the girls don't eat it. Hopeless mares
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Very worrying when pets go missing. Hope he turns up soon.
Love that snowdrop Busy. The fencing is that rigid green mesh stuff, on the grounds that it will last forever and never rot but now that he's seen that estimate I may get him to agree to do it ourselves and maybe have something simpler but equally effective.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Quite agree about proportional fines for footballers etc. Have long thought that fines should be expressed as 1, 2 or 3 week's / month's income etc. That way it hurts everybody to the same degree.
Fairy - we were in Ballater yesterday. Thought it was a really nice little town - lots of royal warrants everywhere made for a colourful display. Didn't realise how badly the town was affected in last winter's flooding. Seems several businesses have been struggling since as the tourists have stayed away. We did the touristy thing & bought some Balmoral bread, Scottish gin & some shortbreads. All delicious.
Wonky - so sorry to hear Flatters is AWOL. Hope he's just been shut in somebody's shed for a day or so. Extra big hugs to you - a very worrying time.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
