Lobster....can you chuck some this way please? I'm just in from work then shopping, and now I have to make something for dinner...
They keep changing their mind about where the snow is heading Joyce, but I've battened hatches and hatched battens as it's to be windy anyway. Amber warning for both - and the nearest observation site to me is slightly more west, coastal and lower lying, so I may need a shovel tomorrow
Ach - it's nothing unusual here for the time of year
Hosta - both ends of the 'human' spectrum eh? People are idiots
Cruises.....pass me a rope. Trapped on a huge, floating (if you're lucky) 'thing' with hundreds of other people stuffing their faces and no escape. All it needs is a theme park thrown in and I'd be overboard before you could say 'Aye aye Cap'n'.My idea of Hell.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
We have both tried the beignets and they are not our cup of tea. Pity. Sausages baked with red onions, red pepper and red cherry tomatoes for dinner - an easy dish that cooks while we shower after a busy, mucky day but we'll have to have fish tomorrow and Friday as Possum is arriving for a 4 day visit and doesn't do fish if she can avoid it.
Must investigate the price of local lobster and crab. I do love crab.
I duly painted my scullery and then went looking for sandpaper for the worktop. It used to live in an old 50s cupboard in the garage and which is now in the garden outhouse but it's not in there any more. In order to discover this I had to empty out most of said shed so ended up emptying it completely, sweeping the floor and walls for muck and cobwebs and then organising all my Wolf tool heads and trowels so they hang neatly on the wall.
Shattered now.
The other outhouse is huge so it'll be quicker to send OH out to buy some sandpaper tomorrow.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Love lobster, but can't run to it with 9 here. We had scrambled egg on toast with bacon and tomatoes., pork stew for lunch.
We went for a walk to the river this afternoon. The children got absolutely soaked, went in over their wellies. Children all had baths, wellies are by the wood burner. They were so excited. Children all asleep, daughters in front of TV, OH and I are catching up on emails etc.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
