    Morning all.

Glad that you can take Dad out for lunch on his birthday, Chicky, may make up a bit for not coming home for Christmas.

Weather here in Dordogne is like Fairygirl's in Scotland, -2° but no frost, water frozen on water butt.

I think my cold is on the turn, coughed in the night again, but felt a bit better and not so achey when I woke up. Daughter sent me a New Year email, her family have all had it this week too. When they left here on 26th Dec. her son had a fever.

Hosta's OH sounds really nice. Or did he grumble at turning back for the iPad? Have lovely hols both.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Cupcake with 1 candleimage. Decided it was a bit cheeky to take anything more than that to an eateryimage

chicky - that's a very small slice you're all having... image

I have to say, we never had an issue taking a cake when we took dad out for his 90th. Staff were brilliant and brought the cake out and lit the candles etc. I expect the size of the bill helped though!

Glad you're a bit better today BL. Sunny frosty days are definitely better for making you feel brighter though  image

It's a bit more sparkly now - the frost is on cars and roofs. Ground's quite solid though.

Good morning - just.  Had a lazy morning reading whilst cuddling Rasta doggy and Cosmos kitten.  Rasta loves kittens bit is jealous.  Bonzo dog has finally stopped trembling when we bring the kittens into the living room of an evening and has progressed as far as sneaking up and sniffing.  Slowly slowly catchee monkey.    Kittens get their jabs this afternoon - finally free of flu and conjunctivitis and growing fast.

It is still foggy here and hasn't got above freezing for the last 2 days.   Bit of a shock to the system.

Busy - glad you're feeling better and hope it's all gone by the time you fly.

Hosta - Derbyshire is not a million miles away and very beautiful so visits will be fun.   Have a great holiday.

Fumpy - nice to see you on here.

DD - as everyone says, onwards and upwards.  It will get better but not all at once or all the time but we're here for moral support and friendship.

Clari - put the tyres in the shed yourself and maybe OH with them!!  Kitchens are for food - storing, prepping and eating and relaxing.

For all those back at the coalface tomorrow - enjoy the rest of today.

Good health everyone and happy dreaming of gardens and projects to come.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
