Proper central heating with a timer and thermostat just like a domestic system Joyce. Very toasty. We don't like to slum it. We shall be heading towards the Cairngorms so we will probably need it!
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Lot of fog yesterday Joyce - on the way out and back. I was high enough to be above it here, but once I was lower down and heading to Paisley, it was foggy most of the way till just before Glencoe. Of course, the road was awash with people who don't think it's necessary to use lights, even when it's not properly light, including a girl who shouldn't have been driving at all. Everyone stuck behind her for miles was getting seriously hacked off and it wasn't terribly foggy along Loch Lomond either. Terrifyingly bad - slowing down to twenty five, speeding up, braking at every bend in the road - and uphill.
Big bank of fog on the way back approaching Tyndrum, and still there were drivers with no lights or only side lights. What a waste of time those are on most cars. Even back towards civilisation and getting dark, loads with no lights
You'll be glad to see a bit of sun then Hosta - even if it's a bit cooler than the holiday sun
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Still bright sunshine and hard frost here in Norfolk - we've got more birds in the garden than ever before - what's the betting they're all hiding next weekend
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all - just. Only half a degree of frost at 9am when we had our first coffee and since then I've been tucked up under the duvet reading and communing with a kitten and a Rasta bear. Minstrel is fine when the dogs are still but wary when they move but this morning I had them both cuddled up with just a couple of inches between them as they wooed each other. Very funny and time consuming but worth it. Cosmos, having gone form one safe home witha dog to another has no fear and has played with Rasta from the start.
Busy and GWRS - the recipe I use is very easy but I do cut each eighth of lime in two across the middle to make them less chunky. 2 days of soaking in salt then a quick cook and it's ready to use one week later.
I tried another recipe last time but it involves fermenting the limes and looked and smelt awful. OH likes it but then he likes andouillettes.
I now have my broken toe strapped to the big one and am keeping off it as much as poss so maybe some sewing today and veg plot planning. Does anyone have cut flower beds? What do you grow and do they need rotating?
Have a good day all - lovely views FG and gorgeous reptiles Pat. Have you got a pink bonnet to keep you head warm Hosta?.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Foggy stuff lingering here Dove - although the frost's melting a bit. Horrible cold, damp day now
Hope the birds are hungry for next weekend - a good frost is what's needed then!
Joyce - there's no excuse for these people. That girl should have pulled in to one of the (plentiful) laybys to let everyone past, as your caravanner should also have done. She eventually put her lights on when the fog was dispersing. She might also have realised that fact when I was right up her jaxxy on the hill out of Tyndrum...
On the way back through Glencoe, a chap pulled in, as he was clearly wanting to drive a bit slower and enjoy the scenery. I wasn't sure if he was just stopping anyway. I mentally thanked him when I looked in my mirror and saw him pulling back out onto the road.

Fairy, we were once stuck in a line of traffic, behind a slow caravan, from Loch Lomond to Loch Awe when it thankfully stopped

http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/22191/indian+lime+pickle You can adjust the level of chilli and add a bit extra sugar according to taste. Some limes are a lot more sour than others.
