    Morning all.

Hope the burnt arm isn't causing too much discomfort, Hosta.  Glad to hear your cold is releasing its grip a bit, Lizzie.

Lovely birds & pokers, Pat!  Nice to see something different... and "summery"!

Hope your dad has a happy day, Chicky.  image

Bury market is ace, Flumpy... I'm over the border in Todmorden.

Been spending a frustrating few hours trying to find one of the neighbour's cats, which we're feeding as a favour to the normal cat sitter (who wanted time off over New Year).  She's not appeared this morning (the cat... as well as the cat sitter, who said she'd be back yesterday afternoon) and I have no idea where she (the cat - sorry, this is getting complicated) spends the night... they (the neighbours) have an old-fashioned attitude to their cats, and shut them out at night.  image

That's a bit tough in winter. Even my cat, who is a semi wild stray, asks to come indoors in winter. She prefers to stay out in summer, but usually sleeps in the veranda.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I wouldn't shut them outside except they don't have a litter tray, and I'd be afraid of accidents... if it's as cold tonight, I'm tempted to let them in last thing, and out again first thing in the morning, maybe with my cat's spare litter tray in case of emergencies.  My experience of cats is that they are amazingly continent anyway...

She turned up, finally, ten minutes ago - perfectly ok but very hungry.  image

    Hi all.

Just back from a lovely walk. One of those magical Winter's days, sunny, cold, with a crispy frost.

Looks as though there is a fair bit of snow on the higher bits.

Slightly regretting not going for another walk today as it's lovely - at this level anyway.  Oh well - too late now, and I've been getting on with hole filling and painting  image

Glad you both had a good one LP and doc. A spell of this stuff would be nice - good for the soul image

Bit of a hassle Liri - hope the neighbours are bringing you back a good reward image
