    Morning all.

Particularly crap night last night. Had to go to bed at 9 as  I couldn't stay awake. Fell asleep right away, but awake again at 1 and then up and down until 6 when I fell asleep again. Had it been  light, I'd have gone out into the garden.

Morning all you wonderful people! Thank you so much for your kind words, wishes and hugs! You really have helped me feel better! image x

I now know what flu is! image I've eaten my first food in four days! An apple, and a nectarine and four crackers! I've lost over half a stone, mainly in sweat...sorry for the Too much info! Feel like I've got through the worst of it though!

Step womble and partner have colds but now understand that they don't have flu! image taking it easy as instructed! image I'm afraid its not homemade desserts etc, even went for lidl frozen roast spuds and parsnips, which are actually really good!

Flowers, hope you are feeling better!

Lesley, enjoy the carol service, one of my favorite parts of Christmas, we are going to one Christmas eve.

BusyL, I like the idea of drinks and nibbles afterwards!image it must have been lovely to have English carols image

Hosta, sorry you had another bad night, my poor OH has had a few of those with me thrashing and moaning....and not in an exciting way! Hope you manage to get a better nights sleep tonight! X thanks for the hugs!

Clari, glad you are alright! Fire engine prang sounded worrying! Reggie doesn't look in the least guilty, if anything, just perplexed as to why you aren't as grateful as you should be!

Chicky, those lights look fantastic! Glad you had a lovely trip seeing them image fantastic news that your Christmas day plan is coming together! Sounds like your dad is happier too!

Dove, it was lovely to see you, so sorry I was in no fit state, step womble sends her love! I'll call you a bit later if your not busy x

Lilyp, baby arrival any day now? How exciting!

Lovely picture of you Pat, looks like a comfy chair!

Best wishes to everyone and thanks again for the well wishes! X

Great link Wonky.   I have just spent a lazy morning reading a book in bed in the sunshine while 2 kittens and a dog played around, over and under me.   Exhausting but hilarious.

Make sure you take time to rest and recuperate or you'll be buggy all winter.

So pleased things are working out for your dad Chicky.   Good luck with the car Fidget.

Love all the dog pics.  Have to say our two weigh 17 and 30 kilos respectively and both think they are lap dogs when they need a special cuddle or think one is getting more than t'other.

Carol concerts sound good Busy and DD.  Haven't found any sign of any here but I do hear them in the SMs along with other Xmas songs.  White Christmas tune with the wrong words in French is bizarre.

We're off to a dinner dance tonight so Strictly final will have to wait till tomorrow.

  • Glad you're feeling a bit better Wonky ... I know your Lovely Hub won't let you overdo it image

I only meant to get a few bits in the supermarket, but there were far fewer people there than I expected, so I've done the Christmas stock up - loo rolls, booze, tonic, more cheese and crackers, nuts, juice etc.  Just the perishables to get on Friday now, eg, cream, milk, crisps ....... I know that according to the sell by dates, crisps are supposed to last a good while, but they never last very long here image

Obelixx, it was your kittens that made me think of the cat shaming images! Although when they are kittens they get away with anything as they are so cute!

Enjoy the football GWRS, sounds like your day is a good one!

Dove, so glad I taught step womble to cook! She made scrambled egg and bacon and toast for everyone! I declined as its early days as yet, and then she washed up after herself! image

Clari, Dove was on speakerphone earlier and when discussing boys weekends, my OH chipped in and said, boys weekends should be earned!....yup...coming from a man that likes to have parties in our basement, chores first is what he says! Dove is my witness!

  • LillyP - my son was due on the 7th Dec, he arrived on the 22nd ... and I suspect that, if he'd been left to his own devices he'd have arrived on 25th Dec ... he's always had a slightly inflated opinion of his own importance image

I'm sure all will be fine ... I know they have somewhat different systems to us, but Russians do seem to know how to get things done ... ((hugs))
