I know it's easy for me to say doc, but try and find something nice to do for yourself over the next few days. The world's gone mad but there are still decent people out there (like you and your colleagues) to give us all hope.
Never had flu, although I've had some hellish colds which should have had antibiotics but I can never be bothered going to doctors. I hate it when people say they've had flu and they've been off work for two days..... Hope you feel better soon Wonks.
Weather quite calm here so hopefully will get a walk on Sunday after I take daughter to work. Means I don't have to get up at 6 tomorrow as well then.
T'bird - The Adventure Show was on here last night. I think you might get it on catch up, certainly on iPlayer. It was covering the Glencoe Skyline race. Totally mental. Bidean, Aonach Eagach and over to Kinlochleven. I was knackered just thinking about it. There's a Cameron McNeish walk thingy on soon too - think it's between Christmas and New Year, but I'll find out for you.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

It's OH's b'day next week - watching The Adventure Show will do as an extra pressie. Am I tight or what? - but it's what we / he like(s) - so there you go...
Will have a look for the Cam. McNeish thing as well when the Christmas schedules are available on the planner.
Most pressies wrapped. House nearly clean - time to put up the tree & other decs tomorrow - preferably accompanied by sherry, mince pies and carols (or gin, crisps and The Archers Omnibus my case...)
Have spoken to the local cat rescue place today. They are going to take some old duvets, towels and pillows off my hands tomorrow and I'll take along some cat food as well.
Please never just throw away old towels and bedding - many of the animal rescue charities can reuse them
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Sorry you're ill Wonky - horrible thing the 'flu. Let everyone fend for themselves and concentrate on yourself. Same goes for you too Flowers.
Liri I can't find your jigsaws even after putting in your keywords. I'll try again tomorrow. Pat I loved your poodle fest. Jekka was at the vets for her booster and, as usual, got weighed. I worked out later that she is 6 stones so she is not the kind of dog to have on your knee.
Topbird, quite right about the animal charities being grateful of towels. I usually go up to the Dogs Trust with a bagful of towels and spare toys that our dog doesn't take to.
Thank you all for the kind words about my cousin. I've been reminiscing and recalled when we were very young she, her brother and I used to play Famous Five in their large garden. OK I know there were only three of us but there was no dog and no-one wanted to be Ann.
I've just spent four hours hacking up frozen meat to prepare the dogs meals for the next month. Come up stairs tired and aching from standing up so long (bad back doesn't like standing still) to find someone snuck a piece of very bloody liver upstairs and forced the bedroom door open.
What a nice present to find on my bed. He must think I need more iron. Bed stripped, duvet soaking, I've dragged out the sleeping bags for tonight.
Lesley, hopefully you'll be able to find the jigsaws tomorrow. I've renamed the Scottish ones "Lismore - Port Ramsay" & "Lismore - Port Ramsay 2" & "3" so I think it might be easier.
Hope we all sleep tonight.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
No, he just wants to know why you don't want his present.
We went looking for a christmas tree the other day. We went to the usual place to find they had sold out. No where else around seems to have anything decent left either. So I dragged the old fake one out of the loft. It has dropped more needles than a fresh one would. Then I spent the christmas tree money on some nice smellies for me and some masculine smelling massage balm for him. He complains that he doesn't want to smell of rose and jasmine. Elemis online 5 day delivery took exactly 36 hours.
They start fixing his car next week. Well they have the go ahead to order the parts anyway. He might get it back by the end of January.
No matter what ClarI.... YOU have to admit, he's "Stunning AND Adorable" ??????????! God love the cheeky beggar ha ha....?...."Wasn't me Mum" ?????

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Does he at least look a little bit guilty??
Well... maybe, Clari!

Lesley, HRH weighs 4kg, and I suspect Jessie is about the same. Quite a comfortable weight on your lap.
Just woken, but don't feel much like getting up. Suppose I'd better soon though.
sweet dreams all.
