SAD is seasonal affective disorder and affects people who respond to low sunlight levels in winter by becoming depressed. The SAD lights replicate daylight wave lengths and improve mood in most sufferers.
Not a problem here at the mo as we have bright sunlight again today but UK and Belgian winters can be very long and grey and dull.
Loads of stars here at night too. No street lights. Wonderful.

It's a memorable year for many reasons Dove and not a lot of them good. So many of those leaving us are our generation of rockers and artists which I think makes it worse as we feel we grew up with them.

Supper will be panfried lamb's liver with smoked streaky bacon and onion marmalade with baby potatoes and green beans. All is prepped and ready to go.
The kitchen smells amazing 'cos not only is the onion marmalade made but there's a big pot of pickling onions in salt ready to pickle tomorrow. Think when the washing machine delivery men turn up tomorrow they may find their eyes watering
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I shall be making mango chutney tomorrow. It takes 8 weeks to mature and we'll probably be running low on the commercial stuff by then.
Best check i've got all the fruits I need to make the Creole cake as it needs a week to soak in all the booze.
Just had an amusing interlude with Rasta and Cosmos. Rasta loves kittens and crept upstairs quietly to see. Cosmos had a dog in his first home and gradually crept closer and closer and ended up purring and sniffing and running between her legs. Minstrel watched, agog, from the safety of the bed. More play tomorrow and then it'll be Bonzo's turn to make friends.
Spag with bol from the freezer for dinner. Easy peasy for dance nights. Must get some proper liver as OH and I love it with sage and onions, Italian style.

Obelixx new country, new house, new garden, two new kittens. An exciting time for the winter months. Exploring new places and markets. Have your new equine neighbours moved in yet?
Am I slightly envious? Yes........especially of Cosmos.

Best to look forward I think Obelixx, and as Ma used to say, "prepare for the worst and hope for the best".
