Watched both episodes of "Roads Less Travelled" last night - very different scenery but stunning none the less. Some of those beaches - pure white sand and turquoise seas - very, very beautiful.
Hope you get out on the hills over the weekend. Have you got Fairylet gargling / swilling with diluted TCP? My Dad's cure-all for everything except dandruff - filthy stuff...
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Hi Fg. Good to "see" you. I've missed everything for months so I'm not even trying to catch up. I'm hoping the well, the halt and the lame are all still pockling along...as am I.
When my friend' s son had a manky mouth his brother accused him of " snoggin' skanky hos". Needless to say that one stuck and is applied at every opportunity!!! Tell that fairylet to behave!!!! Glad she's on the mend. All those delicious leftovers and no gob to put them in. Too bad.
We haven't even eaten the Christmas puddings. We didn't have our dinner anyway as we were at A&E, but we had it the next day. She's not eaten much since, but she managed some bits and pieces yesterday. Her cake is very good!
TCP T'bird... The antibiotics are taking effect now, and she's swilled with salt water a few times. Her face was too sore for her to open her mouth properly. Looked like she'd been in the ring with Mike Tyson. Kept her quiet anyway
Glad you enjoyed the programmes. I watched the first one last night and will hopefully see the other one later. Sunday's looking good so I'll get out then I think. Probably fairly local - Rest and be Thankful perhaps. I work with someone who cannot understand how stunning our beaches and seas are, not to mention all the other scenery. I've given up - she's never even been to Loch Lomond and she's lived in or near Glasgow all her life.
Ppauper - she ain't been near any of those!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Lovely pic of the view - nice to see blue skies. The ground looks very dry though, and those boots are very clean. I feel you need to head north for a proper outing....get some bog trotting done....
Should Mr C be up cleaning chimneys? He's not adopted a dodgy Cockney accent or anything, has he?

Just back from town - 1C and thick fog - still frosty on some pavements. Not very nice - although skeletal silver birches en route - back lit by a barely visible watery sun - were very pretty in a wintery sort of way Nice pics Chicky

I'd far rather have frosts than that, but unfortunately it goes with the territory here. It's been remarkably absent this year. I'm not complaining - it's making the winter shorter! Garden took two days to thaw after the spell of freezing fog and frosts in November though. Our worst winter weather is normally after the new year rather than before, so I hope we won't pay for it then
What I can never understand is the amount of people who drive without lights in fog, or even just when visibility's poor. Especially in silver cars. The worst ones are the drivers of 'luxury' cars, if you know what I mean. Just because they can stop in a nano second, and accelerate the same way, it doesn't make it ok

It's a tough job Dove, but someone has to do it.

Did anyone else love Rutland Weekend Television's The Entire Universe as much as we did? We thought it was the best thing on TV by miles http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b086kfbj/the-entire-universe Deserves a BAFTA

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Out on a walk at the moment - it is a truly glorious day
MrC decided to stay at home and clean chimneys, so am noodling with you lot instead.

It's much prettier than wind and rain T'bird.
