Evening all, morning Pat and welcome new Forkers! image

Sorry been AWOL all week, mental busy at work and at home and just no time to myself! image

Had a little read back and retained some image I think.....

Obelixx, those kittens are the sweetest little mischief makers! I had a white 3 legged cat named Sorrow, she found herself in our shed one day and we kept her! Such a character! Looks like yours are too! image

Clari, my OH needs.....encouraging and I'm not a nag, so I find the best way to stir him into action is by picking up a tool with determination and setting about it myself, scares the s**t out of him and is immediately reprioritising his to do list! imageor threaten to stay at warm relatives along with Reggie until heating installed! image

Fidget, I read about OH, glad he's still in one piece, volvos are fantastic for keeping you safe. Best wishes to you both image

Lirio, enjoy your journey back and your lovely view! Have q great weekend with the cat and OH

Lilyp, think getting a flight on Friday the 13th should be half price and upgraded! image

Hosta, Happy Birthday!!!!!! image big Wonky hugs! X

Dove, I've got a collection of plants I've recycled from work, we will identify when Ivan take a picture in daylight, and you can take your pick!

Great week at work, renovating gardens for learning disabled residents.  Building wheelchair accessible raised beds from sleepers, laying paving, creating wildlife habitats, really satisfying stuff! Also rehomeed plants that were getting chucked out image

Brains not recalling, but greetings to all and hope you all have a lovely weekend! image

Joyce, it was!image and we made friends with the residents that will be using the garden which was nice, also...a certain womble managed to bag the old railway sleepers from the old raised bed! image not a bad week at all! Hope you have a nice weekend image

  • Wonky, it sounds as if your job is just what the ordered - and you'll definitely find the tiredness lessens as your muscles get used to it.  image

I had a 20-year-old Volvo "tank" for a few years and it was wonderful.  Never needed money spending except on tyres etc, and when we moved I sold it for peanuts, but the same peanuts I'd bought it for.  image

I'm now somewhere near Carlisle, on the second of 3 trains.  Got a good book.  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Liri, Scotland has had it's sunniest November since records began so it's been a good month for you apart from the cold.

Lantana: the card read "To Clara and gang. Merry Christmas and all the best for 2017". No kisses no name... no clue!

Wonky: you're making me think I might need to apply for your job too. I was looking at a school caretakers job yesterday thinking actually it sounded rather interesting.

I'd say with family during the refurbishments but a 200 mile journey a day for work is rather off putting. A tent in the greenhouse perhaps might work?

Fidget: how is OH? I hope everything is okay and a warm weekend with gentle exercise helps. I always used to have Volvo tanks before I got the truck; I've seen enough at scrap yards that were clearly the Victor in a fight to know they'd be my choice again in the future.

Clari, I wish you could join our team! Bit of a commute but it would be nice not being the only woman! Think you would love the work though! And the tipper truck is a giggle! image

Your right Lirio! image I do love the work and don't dread getting up in the morning to face it! image Enjoy your book!

He ended up at the hospital this morning, but they think it is just soft tissue damage and have given him some dihydrocodeine. We are going to test drive some cars tomorrow. It has made him more tense, but also even sitting at a computer is not comfortable.

fidget....I was too drowsy to drive when on dihydrocodeine.

He's only going to take them before bed, so he can get a decent nights sleep, then he's back on Ibuprofen during the day.  I could walk on the ceiling on dihydrocodeine. image
