Hi everyone. I assume that everyone is snuggled in their beds by now, but it's taken me ages to read back. I stopped looking in after Edd's latest effort. Couldn't be bothered commenting. The silly thing is that, that sort of humour doesn't bother me, but I'd rather not have it on our nice friendly and relaxed forum. Anyway, here I am again.
weve had light rain and off for the last few days which was very nice, but now the clouds have all gone away and the sun is making up for lost time. And, to top it off, it's now steamy as well as hot because of the moisture left in the soil.. prediction is 33.
I've been sitting inside ALL day with the air conditioning on 24C. HRH has only now woken up 4.45pm to eat her breakfast. I think she rather likes the cool environment (and unfortunately, with her 15th birthday arriving in a couple of weeks, I think she is really slowing down ).
Never mind Pat; autumn can't be far away surely? I say that in the hope our spring will be close by!
Having a much needed lay in before I start trying to tidy up the house and get all the washing done. It may as well be a clean house even if it is not a home.
I'll not share what I came home to find him doing (hint: not the house wiring) as my blood pressure doesn't need it.
Still; this afternoon I might try out my new spade. If I dig a hole big enough will he take the hint?
Looking forward to going on holiday on Tuesday but hate the idea of the journey. Am I the only person who hates what air travel has become?
I'm just old enough to remember when air travel was a nice experience and you were treated with respect. Now you're treated no better than self loading cargo and once you're on board all they seem to want to do if flog you stuff. Can of mixer coke: £1.80 on Thomson ( 12 for £4 in Waitrose)
Don't even start me on the whole " you can't take that through security but you can buy it once you get through" nonsense. Tell me what I can do with a disposable razor I take through security which I can't do with a pack of 10 I buy on the other side?
Not long till the New Year for you Pat. Hope that it will be cooler for you by then.
Hosta I remember when you were given a newspaper when boarding a plane and Stewards/stewardesses would offer sweets round for take off. All food and drink was included and it was a pleasant experience. What went wrong.
Pp good to see you popping in again. Your planned woodland will probably help to take up some of the wet.
Fairy, Fairylet has certainly been through the mill. Hooe you get through New Year without any other emergencies.

I'll chuck it over Pp...
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
