  • Hazel, I'm sure she'll appreciate your good wishes, and those from everyone else - I've passed them on and Hosta's hugs too.

She's always been fond of tomatoes ... when she was about ten months old and in her pram I left her outside the village shop where the shopkeeper and I could see her (as we did back in those days) ... at the foot end of the pram was a bag of lovely ripe little tomatoes fresh from a friend's garden ... when I went back to the pram she'd eaten half of them ... boy were there repercussions later in the day image  Sorry Wonky ... probably too much info image

  • Morning all ,

just had a very quick flick back on all your news.

Sorry for your loss Lesley x

Snuggle up and get well soon wonky x

Chicky, if I wasn't recovering from my own opp and struggling on crutches then I would gladly invite your dad over to join us for Christmas. Had my op at Southampton General, and only live 10 mins away. x......x for your Dad too.

    Lovely photo Pat x

To all those who are going to experience a ' different ' Christmas this year, for whatever reason, keep strong and try to think positive thoughts.x

Sorry I know that I've missed lots of you out.....really don't mean to, xxxxx to you all.

    Morningimage

Gentle hugs for Wonky (but not too close and while I'm holding my breath...image) - hope you feel much better soon. I've only had 'proper' flu once and it completely wiped me out for about 5 days and then took another 2 weeks to feel fully recovered. Very different to the heavy colds some people refer to as 'flu.

Sorry to hear about your cousin Lesley. Life is short and precious.

Hope you can sort something out for your dad Chicky - very stressful for you. But I hope you enjoy Kew tonight - sounds greatimage

    Nice pic Pat.image

.. and now I've forgotten everything else. Have a good one folks - more hwk and seasonal preps for me today.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
  • Thanks Dove, that is very true. I am resting up and hubs is doing a very good job despite working. Trying not to do things is very hard though, I know that I am not being thought of as being lazy.........but I just feel it and want to do my ' bit' too.........keep eyeing up the dust and trying to resist the beckoning can of polish and duster! x

  • Morning all.

    Wise words, Dove.

Hope Flowers gets plenty of rest and feels better soon; that Chicky finds someone to take her Dad for Christmas (and has a lovely time at Kew); and that Stepwomble turns out to be an ace cook and nurse so Wonky can concentrate on getting better.

For Punkdoc, Pat, Bushman, DD and anyone else suffering depression - hang on in there, we're all rooting for you.  Things WILL get better.

Hosta, I'm with you on the medicine thing.  Went to buy Sudafed decongestant for bunged-up OH last week, pondered whether he had "sinus congestion" or "mucus cold" (or some similar description), noticed they had the same formulation & bought the cheaper one.

In an attempt to increase the happiness levels (sorry if that sounds shallow!) I can report eleven long-tailed tits on the fat cake this morning.  image

For any jigsaw lovers, I've put 2 Scottish photos and 3 Irish ones on the Jigsaw Planet site.  Scotland - islands - Lismore and Ireland - Connemara should find them.

    Hi all.

Thought I would just drop in to say hello.

Can't get my head around stuff at the moment. I know most of them are things I have no control over, but I can't seem to stop worrying about them.

Love to everyone who has their own problems and thanks for the messages of support.

Great Lirio. I'll have a look when I finish here. Love doing  the jigsaws.

    Thanks for comments all.

Weve just watched a lovely concert by Elaine Paige. Really enjoyed it. Now Jools Holland is on, so may be another late night, but hey, it's Saturday tomorrow and NO appointments, so a sleep in for Hubby and HRH and me. Hurrah!
