They're really lovely chicky. You clearly had a great time. Did you remortgage the house to pay for dinner? image  Gorgeous blue skies too.

I was just looking online to see if I could find out about the wreath at the big rock at the first lochan on my walk on Sunday - I posted a pic of it.  I found out there's a commemorative cairn at the top of the corrie, which I didn't pass as I went up the other side. A young lad disappeared two years ago while running in Glen Clova and his body was found nearby. He was only 20 - a marine from the 45 Command in Arbroath. The wreath had the numbers 4 and 5 with a dagger in between, which is their symbol.

How very sad. If you have to go - it's not a bad place. They chose the spot because of the location.   Makes you appreciate life a little more.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Indeed, Fairy.  The older I get, the more I realise I've got to grab it while I can...

    Hi all.  image

Sad story Fairy.  Have to agree with the sentiment though.

Gorgeous pics chicky and I'm glad you had a great time.  Liri your pics were great too.  I just sent you a message on the jigsaw site about new albums.

I'll have to catch up with all the goings on tomorrow as my eyes are closing as ai type.  Night all.

Lesley, have you put some photos on the jigsaw site?  If so, what heading can I find them under? image

Morning all / afternoon Pat image

Thankfully, the strong winds abated during the night but more to come.

DD It will, no doubt, be a trying Christmas day for you. However, you have the UK trip to look forward to with Charlie when you will both meet up with more friends.

Firework market deaths in Mexico.....more sad news.
