Mrs Woodpecker visited just now image Hope they hang around.

Cats are very good at giving "that" look when displeased but hunger brings them round.

    Morning all, hi Patimage

Liri at least she didn't bear a grudge for long but wait till she sees your suitcasesimageimage.

    DD ((hugs)).

Chicky I'm pleased to hear that your Dad is feeling a bit better.  It must be a huge relief for you.  The tree sounded superb.  I don't suppose you'll ever leave your 'phone behind againimage.

  • Yes, Lesley, she has been known to try to pack herself in the case...

My mums old cat Tiger used to try and hide in the caravan when she was getting it ready for holidays.  He would be left with a neighbour feeding him. Apparently he used to si on the path and howl while we were away, as soon as we were back he would disappear for three days, before forgiving us and coming home.

My friends Jack Russell in Perth used to greet me every time I went to visit like a long lost friend. We went for walks together on the beach, and she got  spoilt at the beach cafe.  She would move in to my bedroom while I was there and sleep with me. As soon as I started packing the suitcase she would start sulking, and refused to even look at me when the taxi came.

I had to rescue the neighbours cat off the middle of the road TWICE this morning. Whatever it was trying to eat (I tried a bucket of water to wash it away but alas it only seemed to heighten the smell) that cat was not moving despite the horns, revving engines, or in one case the woman actually driving over it.

I rather dread coming back this evening in case I find it squashed (highly likely considering the quality of the driving from parents dropping off their school children). Unfortunately I think said neighbours are bored of kitty now its grown up as it has turned very much into an outdoor cat and they're not the kind of people who'd be receptive had I knocked on their door.

Another quiet day at work (I've left my hearing aid out!) so I have cleaned the classroom.

    *twiddles thumbs*

As an aside: does anyone know of an app or clever magic trick that converts documents written in capital letters to lower case? Only I'm really struggling to read Pansys comments when there is a large block of capital letters all shouting at you from the screen. I don't think my brain is clever enough.

I only know how to do that in the document I am writing myself Clari - don't think you can do it easily for an article already published on the website.

Just had a HUGE W'rose delivery. I think we can safely say there is now enough bleach, toilet rolls, kitchen roll, tonic water, cat food etc etc to see us through to the middle of January. Our W'rose is in the centre of town so people use the car park as an extra town centre car park (just have to spend £10 in store). Very, very long queues to get into the car park for much of the day from now till they all go back to work after the New Year.

Visits before Christmas  now restricted to 2 more for fruit, veg, meat and dairy.

Oh Topbird I wish I was as organised as you!

I have found out that His Lordship is on holiday from next week. So maybe we can all enjoy a pre-emptive cheer in that he might do some work on the house so that January can be a month of trademen finishing off and February the month of love and painting?

I mean sure he has already arranged to spend a day with his mate, and will want to sort the car out before the journey to our families, hasn't even started his Christmas shopping yet, and I'm hoping he'll do the emergency loo roll and vegetables shop but...
