He was thrown forward , but the air bags didn't go off.  If he has whiplash , he probably wont know until tomorrow. I had someone run into the back of me at traffic lights, it was next day when I woke up with a stiff neck that got progressively worse and lasted over six months. That was only a little tap. The consultant thought it was worse because I was twisted in the seat looking for the red light to change.

Blimey Fidget.  That is very worrying for you and not good for OH to be sat out in the cold after a bump like that.   I hope he's OK and has no lasting damage.    Good that there's a witness for insurance and police purposes.

    Big hugs.

Makes you realise how fragile life is. Make sure you look after him well.

He's currently sat in a layby on the A5, with the engine running and the heated seats on trying to keep warm.  He wanted to drive back but I told him to phone the insurance company and they insist he doesn't . He sounds shook up,  even if the car is driveable, I don't think he is in a fit state to drive a long distance in the dark.  The lorry driver was near to his depot, so not far to go.

We picked the car for its safety features. More airbags than you can shake a stick at. Apparently they only go off if the front or side is hit.  It has something that wouldn't let him run into a wall. If he turns into the drive too fast, it puts the brakes on for him.

Oh Fidget - what a worry.  Hope he is ok (now and tomorrow).  So scary how life turns on these split second events.  ((Hugs)) for you both.

Not the same do Frit - mine is for legal beagles.....I'm an imposter, as not a lawyer myself ?.  Obxx - my occitane hand scrub is very much like sugar and olive oil, just much more pricey ....might consider the alternative recipe when this pot runs out. On a train at the moment .....

The car has all his scanning gear in it. As it is worth far in excess of the car, he has to be brought home with the car to unload it, then the car will go  to a garage until the morning and then repairs and a hire car will be sorted.  I cant fetch it, it won't  fit in my car unless we drive home with the top down, and its not a top down sort of day. Third option is my brother and his big van.  I just hate sitting here not being able to do anything. There isn't even anywhere close he can get a  hot drink.

Oh Fidget! If I were anywhere near the A5 I'd go and hunt him if only to give him  company.

I hope the recovery company arrive soon and get him home to you quickly.

Please please remember to get anything that you're not happy with checked out at the hospital.
