    I don't wait after 7pm.

Spouse here has eaten and is asleep on the sofa watching Lucy Worsley.

Day has been filled with rather dull stuff, committee meeting, supermarket, ironing.

When we first moved to France our house was a converted water mill. We had water voles in the banks of the stream and a pair of muskrats who lived under the house. The stream ran under the house with a mill pool by the kitchen terrace. But I don't think we had ragondin. I wouldn't have liked to eat any of them, they were cute.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Still no sign of his lordship. I've had a lemon curd sandwich (such a grown up). Now in bed sharing a hot water bottle with the hound.

BL; I have quite the fan girl about Lucy Worsley! Thank goodness for Kindle; my partner can't see just how many books of hers I've brought. image

No stamina these OH's.   Mine has eaten, watched Masterchef and gone to bed too.   He has been a busy boy today tho with his golf, two dog walks and playing with his new wood chipping toy.

We had water voles and musk rats in the Belgian garden and neighbouring fields which had a stream running through and ponds.   No idea what we may have here yet but there's plenty of water around in the neighborhood as we're on the northern edge of the Marais Poitevin.   Lots of dried up ponds too after the long drought.

  • Tucked up under the duvet here too. OH just watching the end of a programme - I'll read until he comes to bed -, he usually finds me asleep with a book on my face.

    Sweet dreams folks image

My sort of temp, Pat. I was born to be a hothouse flower.

Good for me too, as long as it's not humid heat.   That makes me wilt.

Just back from town. Thankfully, the house is cool from the overnight temp.
