Afternoon all,  Had a busy day, popped to see mum this morning and then had to go to Merry Hell to pay money into the bank as our local branch has closed.  Very annoying, especially at this time of the year when its so busy. Had a bit of a browse and a new sparkly top and leggings fell into my shopping basket.  This losing weight lark is starting to cost me money.

Then had to go to friends house to feed cat, lucky devil is currently in New York,  which promptly attacked me.  Talk about biting the hand that feeds you, knew there was a reason why I prefered dogs.

Now relaxing and wondering what to do for tea, hubby stays at firstborn's on Thursdays so that he can help with the children in the morning, so its just me.  Probably do something on toast.

Busy loved your story about the horses.  Hope they like the new hay.

The weather here is very mixed at the moment.  Rainy this morning, windy all day and now its sunny.  No tornadoes though in this part of the Midlands.

    Have a good day everyone.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Hello everyone

The weather is a bit miserable here in Cornwall but still very mild at the moment.

I know what you mean about fussy horses, Bizzy, I've two retired shetlands and one will eat any hay but the 30 year old is very choosey.

I'm sorry you miss your Tigger. I lost my German Shepherd last year and even though I'm now '27' I couldn't live without a dog. I now have a labradoodle. She's an absolute monkey but adorable too

. I caught her sniffing a big fat  slug the other day and started worrying about lung worm which can be carried by slugs and snails. The worming tablets on line would have cost under £10 but need a vet's prescription so I went to the vets for them. They cost me £49.41 and I didn't even see a vet. the vet's prescription would have been £19. I think vet's have got us over a barrel.  .

    Afternoon all.

Full of cold. It's come on quick so I hope it'll go quick too.

BL; there are so many old dogs that need homes. I couldn't live without a dog now. Even if he pins you to the bed and wakes you with the loudest woof two inches from your face at 01:00 (landline was ringing).

Met some beautiful police dogs today.  I could have snuck one home so easily!!

Keep safe all. Weather sounds grim!

dahlias all lifted and rebedded for the winter. Hedychiums likewise. We even managed to get the D. Imperialis lifted after cutting about a metre off the tops.

Agapanthus to move in tomorrow and might try to get some chippings bagged before we go.

OH's doom and gloom " oh, we'll have to leave a key with the plumber so he can fix the heating"

was misplaced. Plumber came round at lunchtime and it's all fixed now.

    Devon.

On Monday & Wednesday I was very late home due to work.

On Tuesday and tonight his lordship is late home ( still no sign of him).

Should we flip a coin to see who works late tomorrow?

He sent me a message 1.5 hours ago to say he was nearly done so I put the dinner on.

Reggie & I are really enjoying this deliciously moist and tender chicken breast. Would it be wrong to suggest he gets himself a take away when he eventually comes home so we can scoff all this chicken?

You would be well within your rights Clari. Enjoy the chickenimage

  • Clari - I think he should get himself a takeaway so that his meal is hot and fresh, rather than something that has been hanging around waiting fir him and spoiling. Don't want him to get good poisoning, do we?image

Have you checked your PMs today?
