Hi Folks,  Haven't done much over the last three days been feeling rubbish, but the cold seems to be improving today.  Have been catching up on a lot of Scandi dramas, watching Legacy at the moment.

I have also been trying to decide on some new plants for a couple of areas of the garden, but can't make my mind up.

Sorry to hear about puss cat Obelisk.  After we lost our last 2 dogs I decided not to have any more pets, it's just too upsetting.

Keeping fingers crossed for you DD.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands

Finally caught up a bit, but you've all been chatting so much I'll probably forget most of it...image

Trust Hosta to lower the tone....image

Sorry to hear about your cat obelixx. Hope things improve now for you in your new home. All very stressful. My friend at work lost her little dog the other day. She was a sweet little thing and we all loved her. Hard for her kids as they're quite young.

So pleased for you DD. Where do the owners live in Scotland? I could round up a posse and we could 'persuade' them to let you have it cheap.....image

Nice to 'see' you Catnap. Hope you enjoy the forum and the weird but wonderful people who inhabit it. Not me - I'm not weird at all, I'm Captain Sensible  image

Not you as well Lesley...it's very addictive isn't it!

Kinda chilly here. Back down almost to single figures now, not that it's been much higher through the day. Some big black thundery clouds coming in and out too. Just in time for the weekend....curses...image

Finally - how about old Bob eh? Brilliant. About time they gave it to some of our wonderful lyricists. Tangled up in Blue was played earlier on the radio too. Smashing image

Been taking some moon pix over the last few nights. It made a brief appearance ten minutes ago before the cloud came back in

I was only kidding about 'knowing people' Lantana...I know nuffink....image image

You only have to read the lyrics of Blowin' in the Wind to see how relevant it still is....

...and perhaps how little we've learned in the last 50 years, unfortunately  image

Lantana. not quite born in a barn but a country boy for sure and to answer the question earlier by 1Runnybeak1

I was a Royal Marine Commando for ten years then SAS for fifteen so you did learn to survive with the minimum of comforts.

Fairy, Lantana. . . many years ago when my daughter worked in Glasgow, she had a patient who said she was "just to let him know about anyone bothering her and he would administer the Glasgow Kiss. . . "

which is not a peck on the cheekimage  Don't think she kept his number though, or he could have been enlisted to "talk" to the owner of the property DD wants to buy.
