I don't find the steamer particularly good although it seemed like a good idea at the time. It always feels top heavy....image

I should really go and be productive now. Too easy to footer on here while catching up on things I've recorded or planning my route for tomorrow. Pat's got me hooked on that jigsaw site now too....image image

Perhaps another coffee and  toasted cinnamon bagel - having that instead of tea and porridge today. I know how to live ...

    Help yourself  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Obelixx, love the leaded and unleaded! I stop drinking strong coffee in the afternoon then switch to pints of Darjeeling tea for the evening image glad that gingerpuss had a happy meeting with her family image

Purple dressing gown is something that is sported by both mother and daughter! Different dressing gowns but seems to be a family uniform, eh Dove image

BusyL, my tummy thinks hotpot would be a stonking breakfast now, I think I'm gonna blame you! image glad you enjoyed the ho-downs! image

That took me AGES to read all the posts. Have just finished roast Turkey wings. Potatoes and sweet potatoes. Watching a Bruce Springsteen Tribute.

Had a good laugh at the first video of the rock moving.  I was waiting for the hand winch to fail and the chain wrapping itself around the idiots neck image. The second video was a bit of a disappointment, though.  Hosta, you're going to be inundated with suggestions now.image

Thinking about HRH and muddy footprints - she is so dainty the way she dances around that the first thing she would do is jump on her towel on the lounge chair and lick her feet clean.  Wouldn't taste nice but she'd do it. I remember taking her for a walk in winter when I was collecting pine cones for the fire. I stepped over a fairly deep puddle, but didn't think about her poor vision - you guessed it, she fell right in. I've never seen her move so quicklY, she literally levitated out. Very cold bath. No yelp though, just got on with racing around trying to get dry.image

im glad you're enjoying the challenge of the jigsaws Fairy. It takes up much more time than i should allow, but hey, why not enjoy retirement.

Thinking about you all moving house and Wonky changing job. Best wishes to,all.

    Morning all.

Just spent over an hour on the phone to ISP. Upgraded to fibre. Fingers crossed.

Logs delivered, rock moving video watched and off to finish path.

Passport: you have to visit website to get the price, but you can't pay via that website, you have to send a cheque unless you want post office to "check" for you at £8.50.

    Joined up thinking?

Off to have breakfast, at last.

Enjoy the weekend one and all.

    Devon.

    Morning all,

Just got back from Weightwatchers, that's another 2lbs gone.  Lazy weekend planned.  Might get the daffs planted, might not.  Bought some viola to brighten hanging baskets up for the winter but they are looking too good to demolish just yet.  Also have some hollyhocks to pot on.

Secondborn and her other half are bringing the baby on a visit this afternoon so lots of cuddling planned.

Had our first fire of the autumn/winter last night.  It was lovely and cosy, buying a log burner was the best thing we did when we moved into this house.

I have read back, but as usual have forgotten most of it.  I remember logs and rocks for Hosta, we will need a delivery this winter I think.

Someone is on a long train journey, but I can't remember who.  Hope train is on time and your fellow passengers behave themselves.

Sounds like you are settling in Obelisk, glad ginger has been returned to his/her owner.

Sorry if I've forgotten anything important.  Must dring cuppa before it gets cold and have a quick browse round the site.

Enjoy the trip Chicky, I quite like train journeys provided I don't have a mobile phone fanatic or an ipod person who plays it so loud that I can hear it despite the earphones.

I know it's been a good season for squashes of all sorts, but what a whopper!

It's feeling pretty good to actually be looking at stuff to put in the house rather than just ripping stuff out (plenty of that to do yet though).

All this talk of steam mops you'll never guess what his lordship brought me??

A galvanised mop bucket and wooden handled cotton mop!

Oh the pure excitement I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to using it throughout all the plaster dust encrusted floors.
