Hope you got some sleep Hosta.

Pat - I saw some TV footage of effects of storms a couple of days ago. Bad.

Morning all/afties Pat. Something we take for granted isn't it? Having power. I'm old enough to remember the power cuts in the seventies here...I was very young of course. image At least we knew when they were coming though.

Cold here again this morning - the windscreens look as if they've had a touch of frost but not been outside yet.

Don't get me started on these clowns Daisy....what I call Princess Margarets. Famous for being famous.

Enjoy your stomp chicky. Is that what you'll be wearing? image

Hope Hosta got back to sleep for a while...image

I'd better go and get organised. I'm all behind today....just like that Kardashian woman then....image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Hi Obelixx,

Thanks for posting photos of your new French residence on 28 Sep 2016 16:37. As a native of la Vendée département may I point to an interesting architectural feature of your house? In that part of the country (and maybe in other parts as well), "ordinary" houses are covered in red tiles while posher houses are covered in slates. As can be seen on your photos, your main house is in the posh category, while the attached outer buildings are covered in tiles.image

Wishing you all the best for your new life in la Vendée!

    Morning all.

    Late on parade again.

Fell asleep around 2am and awake again before 8. Rubbish.

I think no more than sprinklers in the polytunnel to bed the Hostas in and get ready for coal face at 12.

    Devon.

Right, up and about now ... OH has been out swishing the lawn with a bamboo cane to help it to dry quickly so that he can mow it.

I've had a brainwave - the Sunny Bed needs a fastigiate golden yew - I shall start a new thread ...

Hubby cooked a new recipe for dinner tonight, just sat down to eat it and the power went off again.

its obviously on again or I wouldn't be able to see your messages.

    Morning all.

I hope it stays on Pat.

Only 3° again this morning. Housework needs doing. Bought compost so will be able to get on with doing my pots again.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Off again at 10.15 pm then on again at 10.30 pm, so we took the opportunity to have our nightly shower while there was still a heater for the bathroom.  No info why or what is happening with the power.

i can just see us going to bed next time. image

Wonder whether Pat's gone to bed ... sweet dreams image

OH has cut the lawn and I'm edging and weeding and planting perennials - including my lovely new Astrantia Star of Love, Salvia Wendy's Wish, Geranium Painter's Palette and Gardener's Garters (thank you B3image)

I've also tidied up the yellow phormium in the big container ready to go on the front porch for the winter.  I might not get all the bulbs planted today, but the garden will certainly look a bit more cared for and will be ready for the rest of the bulbs when the next gardening day comes along ...
