Busy - Possum threw major wobblies when we told her we were selling up for something easier to manage. We reminded her her memories are in her head and on photos and that we are her centre base, not a pile of bricks, and that she will make her own life and memories in due course. She had late onset teenage tantrums for ages but seems to have settled now. Difficult to cope with though.
Maybe I'll just settle for guinea fowl which I really like anyway.
Lily - lovely OH. Have a great time.
Chimney sweep is here and has given me a lecture about sweeping the living room chimney twice a year because the log burner has an elbow joint to its chimney and has clearly caught fire and is full of crud. Not me gov, only been here 4 weeks. Rasta is "helping" as she's a very nosey doggy. Bonzo is shut in our bedroom cos he barks (very deep voice) and bounces and 30 odd kilos of noisy Lab can be worrying if you don't know he's a softy.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Woodchippings promised for this morning so more dumpy sacks to fill. I hope the drive belt comes for the mower so I can rope Hubby into leaf clearance assistance tomorrow.
No frost forecast here for the next 20 days ( according to Weather Channel ) so hopefully we'll be on top of everything before we head off to Cape Verde.
Nice to have 2 days off. Must knock this overtime melarky on the head.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Nasty murky start to the day here in North Devon, but some work I was expecting hasn't come in so I can start to tackle my 'to do' list: Soil test on next year's brassica bed and lime if necessary, move Abies koreana and refresh the pot, clean and insulate the greenhouse, pot up pelargoniums and get them inside, divide rhubarb and lots of perennials and replant, then weeding and mulching all my borders and tidy up the veg patch
Here you are ............... I'll have one with you while I write my shopping list ............................. plenty more coffee available folks ... help yourselves ...

It's starting to feel like a double espresso morning here. Hubby had a gig last night - I always wait up for him and he didn't get home until midnight. Then we had to wind down together with a couple of beers - we didn't crawl into bed until 1.30 this morning Luckily darling daughter is helping me with my 'Friday Home Blessing' aka the BIG housework so that I can get into the garden sooner. Hope your day is going well, Dove, and thanks for the coffee!
I like this site cos it's straightforward jigsaws divided by category and then number of pieces. http://www.jigidi.com/ Pat and FG post theirs on another site which has rotating puzzles! Try looking back on this thread for the name. I tried a search but got an error.
