Good to see you Topbird - thought it'd seemed quiet around here! glad you've had a lovely time
I must say, get yourself over to Bressingham if you possibly can and if the weather holds - OH and I went last weekend and the colours were wonderful - better than I've ever seen it
Whoops Just realised you posted on that thread Chicky - so you've seen the pics ...
Duh
Maybe Pdoc and Bushman would like to see them ..............
That's my second Senior Moment of the day ... earlier today I was getting ready to pop to the shops and thought I would put my red shoes on - looked around for them, was sure I'd seen them just a little while ago but they were not in the usual places so sat down on the stairs to put my black boots on and ............. took off my red shoes

right, on the good news front. ROCK 2 IS MOVED!!!!!!!
I had it strapped / chained and was doing my best to maneuver my trusty van into position when the guy from the farm stopped on the lane behind the fence to fill in some pot holes. 5 mins later, he had his JCB hitched to the rock, or the other way round, and it was done.
He said if I lift the front end of " The Rock" , ( no problem now, I'm an expert ) he'll move that one too.
The guy at the garage has a 53 plate 1.7 Astra estate he'll sell me for £500. That'll do me for the time being.
Vans are hard to come by round here. Nobody sells them unless they're wrecks .
Unbroken sun all day long . Looking good for tomorrow too.
More good news!! Waitrose bargain basement. 5 Japanese Maples: full price £140, got them for £30 the lot. Don't folk realise they're expected to lose their leaves and " look dead" in Autumn? Maybe not.
Three pots planted with my tete-a-tete. Admittedly two are Tiny pots to sit on the windowsill of the kitchen if we have a very cold damp spring. But... it all counts right
Clari - they definitely both count and now you've said that ....... I must get some Tete a tetes for the kitchen windowsill ......... and maybe the dining room windowsill as well

I had aimed to get my tete a tete / minnow planted in my wooden planters but the hostas and clematis made it a bit tricky, so I think I'm going to pot them all up and leave until Spring to decide.

Hmm - I shall be 27 again this weekend - maybe that's an idea for a day out. On the other hand I could go to the tip with a load of rotten fence posts and then onto Homebase to buy a new spike for my washing whirly-gig-thingy.... Decisions, decisions
Very funny re the senior-moment with the red shoes - I, of course, have never looked for the specs perched on top of my head.. or the book I'm carrying around...
Results, results indeed Hosta - weight loss, bargain trees, bargain car and a solution for the rock problem. Now could you turn your attention to Brexit and the US election please?
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

A JCB is very useful Hosta and saved you damaging yourself. . .
Terrific bargain on Japanese Maples
Indeed so Joyce, a good day's work.
Hurrah for rock moving!!
