We're thinking of taking a trip up to the North Norfolk Coast today - the wildfowl and waders are beginning to arrive from the far north and Siberia for the winter.
Must find my binoculars.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Cool and grey to the west but brighter to the east. We have had some rain overnight, the first since a light shower on the 2nd and the ground is parched.
No outings for us today apart from dog walking and a mini SM raid. Unpacking again to reduce obstacles before friends arrive on Tuesday and we need time for a rawl plug excursion tomorrow!
Busy - congrats to you and son and DIL. Great news.
Loved SCD last night tho we missed the first 3 dances after Sky record got its knickers in a twist. Humph. Need to fix that PDQ..
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Morning all - been ferdiddling down all night - meant to clear up later, so might get some weeding/clearing/planting done after all.
Birmingham was a success - just Cardiff to go next weekend and then our grand tour of the country is complete and littlest Chicklets application form can be submitted. Feels like we have covered many miles of train track
Morning all, sorry to have been AWOL for a while, working two joins and not a loot of time in between! Now got a cou0le of days off so thought I'd check in and see what's going on here
Greetings to Catnap, love the name! Great communal gardens, I'm sure they are appreciated by everyone that sees them.
Obelixx, gorgeous daffs, I can see why you thought they were crocus. so sorry to hear about Puss, best wishes x
Glad the tours of the uni choices are going well Chicky, sounds like fun, ma and daughter traping across country for adventures!
I can't retain any more without another coffee, but greetings to all, Dove, Yvie, Fairy, Liri, Lilyp, Hosta, Clari, BusyL, Lesley, Topbird, Panda, Nut, .......all of ya! have a lovely weekend!
Good to see you Wonky. Enjoy your days off. Sounds like you've earned them.
Just done the SM raid - Carrefour in the next village - and they don't do sherry! I use it instead of oil or butter for softening onions and starting sauces. Will just have to do a raid on a proper Leclerc tomorrow.
OH is busy sorting out 4 cartons of home-made jams and chutneys then dog walking for both of us. Got to get fit again after weeks of staying in and packing or unpacking while OH took them out.
Spotted a solitary bat last night but still haven't identified the local birds. Anyone recommend a good book of European birds? My old Collins guide doesn't really fit the bill.
Pat E - you should be warming up soon and enjoying lighter evenings. Hope so.
Chicky - sounds like fun. Has she a preference yet?

I'm watching the Shanghai Final and Murray has the first set so I'll get breakfast dishes washed.
