Sounds warm where you are Obelixx, must be because of the sea. I'm a lot further south and it only got to 13°. +2° this morning instead of -2° so no frost today. Grass was white yesterday but the dahlias are still flowering.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
The sun is breaking through now so may get an hour in the garden.
Pat - Secret Garden (Artist's Edition) and Magic Jungle for a bit of fun.
If Trump gets in, the only hope is that the Senate and Congress block him although that would still leave him free on the world stage.. . . . I don't see Lizzie having him at Buck House though.
Clari - enjoy some free time away from the house this week

Oh, so you didn't take to her then Hosta. I can't think why
Making a bid to become a member of the Wonky/Dove society this morning. I'm still in my dressing gown curled up on the sofa. It's not purple but it is dark pink with white spots so I hope I'll be allowed to join.
Cold still horrible so no gardening for me, I'm catching up on some TV, been watching a Norwegian series called Occupied. It's been really good, like the scandi dramas.
Sorry you're feeling crook Yvie and hope it clears up soon.
I'm making a huge pot of Jewish penicillin to stash in the freezer, just in case. I need a freezer doctor though. Cleaned and primed second yesterday only to get back from shopping to find it shorting. Not good. OH has found a dead mouse wrapped round a wee power unit that now needs replacing. Looks long dead so maybe moving shifted it to a critical position.
He's now fixing my new kitchen lights while I potter about unpacking more boxes. Need to get a couple of extra shelves cut for the cupboards to store all the spices......
Thatcher did one or two very good things but, on the whole, got far too much wrong and implemented things without thought to consequences to people and their communities. The far right is as de-humanising as the far left.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
Hosta - that made me laugh. She'd probably have preferred Pol Pot, Idi Amin and Mugabe all at the same time for a week, rather then her for an hour
She's certainly not popular with Scots, obelixx...you daren't mention 'poll tax' here...
Americans have always terrified me...a sweeping statement I know, but I worry about the appointments they make for President, especially when they vote them in again....
Sun is trying to get out here, but it's one of those grey, damp autumnal days. Lots of foliage down, berries on golden leaved rowans and the oaks and horse chestnuts all yellow and beautiful.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Morning all.
The thought of Trump as President is frightening.

She's had to play host to some pretty despicable characters in her time
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
