Still got a smidgin in our jar Hosta - but I'll have a look and see whether Marmite stocks are low out here in the far east image

You won't get it from the photo, but around the outside are the food stalls, so you get a smell of diesel from the engines, mixed with candyfloss, toffee apples, mushy peas with mint, and frying onions for the burgers and hot dogs.  Eat that lot and go on some of the rides, and it goes a long way.image

Possum nicked our pot of marmite!  Heaven knows when I'll find new supplies.  I don't eat it often but sometimes I just need a hit.

Love the smell of frying onions.    I don't do rides of any sort anymore FB but I did find that the way to deal with OH's seasickness on a cross channel ferry was to make him eat well.  Great in the days of Sally Line and smorgasbord but not too bad with P&O and a cooked breakfast.  Nowadays we both get seasick doing a Viennese waltz until we remember the technique.

I've let OH loose with a drill to make 2 holes for screw to support his shoe cabinet.  Dangerous stuff as I am chief hole driller and this is a plasterboard wall that needs special rawl plugs.  We had solid brick and thick plaster in Belgium so there may be tears before bedtime.

Morning all,  Welcome Chicky, Birmingham is a great city, hope you and Chicklet have a good day.

Had a lousy night, spent it doing the goose fair puzzle.  Pat, I can see a lot of wasted hours coming up.

No gardening for me.  All the bulbs are in except for Tulips and they can wait until I feel better.  Popped into weightwatchers and lost another 1lb.  Not much but I haven't been very good this week.

Firstborn is dropping in this morning.  She is taking the children to see mum as I'm keeping my germs to myself.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Sorry that is out of kilter. Half a dozen postings in between what I was referring to ( Nottingham goose fair) and mine appearing.

The only Waitrose near us is in the middle of Nottingham. It costs too much in parking to use regularly.

However we have had a new M&S simply food open up near to us, and free parking.  So Lidl for cheap stuff, M&S for treats, and Tesco lost out all round.

You're all driving me crazy!  I can NOT find that goose puzzle.?

We have Vegemite here. I've never been a fan of Marmite, although it was always there in the shop (my parents grocery store) when I was growing up.  Probably still is around.

Hubby is watching 'Great Australian Bake Off". I'm sitting here trying to keep myself from saying what I want to about the two idiot females trying to sound humorous.  I wonder what those two thought about the comments by the goggle box program. Pretty close to my thoughts. image

Time to get the Sudoku book out, I think.

I can't find it now. Google images of  Notingham goose fair and hundreds come up. You can get an idea.

Marmite report:  approx 20 125g jars in 'our' Waitrose

We've got a piece of brisket for tomorrow - it'll be ok in the slow cooker if we go out tomorrow.

Kettle's going on now - tea or coffee folks?
