Glad you've arrived safely and hope you enjoy yourselves.   Not looking forward to darker evenings once the clocks go back.

Welcome Lizzie - hope you have a good break - and that the troubles are resolved or forgotten by the time you return.  We look set for a fine few days, so you can make the most of the Norfolk countryside.  Colours are beautiful at the moment.

Looking forward to a weekend in the garden .....no train trips for a changeimage

But first, one more day of mining salt required.

    See you later peeps ???????

You know I have a dressing gown (red with spots) a gift from his lordship. But he always frowns if I wear it for more than a morning trip to the bathroom. I'd never get away with wearing it around the house like a lady of leisure.

Almost the weekend! Today will either be wonderful or grim. BUT I WILL GET MY BULBS PLANTED THIS WEEKEND.

Up bright and early here and showered and dressed.  No schlepping in my kaftan today as I am waiting for the chimney sweep.  Hope he's not called Godot!

After that I'll be walking the dogs and then going on a pot and bulb hunt.   I brought some from Belgium just in case but have hardly seen any here and that is a surprise.  I would really like a lot of cheery daffs for spring and just hope the snowdrops I potted up last spring have coped in their pots and will grow..

Have a good day everyone.  Plans for the weekend?

    Morning folks! Afternoon Pat image

Purple dressing gown on! Coffee going down well and a team meeting for the new job this morning.

Was given another lot of presents and cards from job I left yesterday, more gardening gloves, kneeling mat and pruning saw image hoping I get the rest of the day off, I'd like to remember what pottering about is!

Clari, my bulbs are poking through the soil of the planter! They went in 3 weeks ago, the ones in the ground aren't showing yet. Don't get me wrong I'm not being smug cuz I'm organised, its just the rest of the garden looks a neglected tip and it made me feel better about it if I blamed weather and looked forward to spring! image

Hope everyone has a lovely day, nearly the weekend folks! imageimage no gardeners world tho....image

    Morning all.

Ooh pheasant, Dove. Rarely see it in France, apart from live birds in the countryside.

Woke up a bit early, still on French time. Been having coffee in bed but reading as OH had the iPad.

Thanks Chicky, think the upset needs a bit of time. I mentioned selling the house because it's too big, too isolated and too expensive to run, but daughter says all her memories of her dad are in it.

    Hi all.

Grey and foggy here, but very mild.

    Like the sound of pheasant.

I think perhaps I need a purple dressing gown.
