    Hi everyone

Sorry to hear there are so many germs about, hope you are both feeling better.

Obelisk, glad the move went OK, don't blame you for getting those conifers out.

Glad HRH is feeling a bit perkier Pat.

Have been busy in the garden over the last couple of days.  Have removed some woody lavender from the front garden and replanted the path borders with a mixture of hardy geraniums, heuchera and alchemelia mollis, should be nice against the gravel when they bush out a bit.

Some of the bulbs have been planted, but still quite a few daffs to go in.  The tulips have arrrived but they will go in next month, mainly in pots.

Quite a few perennials have been split and replanted.

Next big job is to clean the greenhouse and put the insulation up.  Have quite a few seedling to prick out and pot up.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands

Post I wrote earlier seems to have disappeared. Internet has been very slow today, emails almost impossible. In the middle of writing something and laptop tells me I can't be connected.

Exciting day tomorrow obelixx! I hope you've been enjoying your new house even without furniture. Did you have a bed? I hope the essential bathroom items weren't toothbrush, deodorant and loo rolls. Suppose they could be bought though.

Went to supermarket, lunched at the Wok place, watched Escape to the Country. Haven't done much, but am a bit achey after gardening efforts at daughter's.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

You are all so energetic, it puts me to shame. Not that I feel really bad. I probably should be up and about, but still thinking about it.

catch you all when you wake.

up and about here Pat. Unfortunately.

Lay in bed wide awake for almost 2 hours , so have given in and just got up.

    How's HRH?

    Devon.

Oh no, not again Hosta. I thought your sleep patterns had stabilised.

HRH is rather perky this morning and sniffing around where one of the big hares spends a bit of time image. Typical that she does this sometimes for 36 hours or so and just when I've worried myself silly, she seems back to normal. She has bilateral heart murmurs, so we are prepared for the eventual outcome

Sorry didn't check back earlier, so you're probably in the land of nod by now (hopefully).  Hubby has decided we should go to town today instead of our usual Wednesday, so we're off again soon.

Weather wise, there is major flooding all around the southern parts of the country and now we're told there has been another fairly heavy snow fall on the peaks. No wonder I've pulled the knitted vests out again.

    catch you all later.

Wide awake here Pat, although you are probably in town by now. Young (1 yo. cat) flying around like she has picked up something from the 'hood. Old (16+) cat, totally deaf, stretched out, ignoring the little one. There are foxes barking outside...Watching the News and for the life of me I cannot quite understand what the Kardashian girl is famous for.

Sigh, cup of coffee or try and get another hour's sleep?

Morning Daisy, and those to followimage  Hope sniffles are improving for those under the weather.

Dawn is just breaking here - hopefully another lovely day in store.  I need to "march" in to town in my lunchbreak - always more enjoyable in the sunshine ????????????

Have a good day peeps - glad to hear Ob has arrived safely .....the adventure beginsimageimage

I've a new appreciation for people who are moving to houses without power. We nearly got blown away  in town. The McDonalds sign got damaged - will put a photo on later. Got home - no power. House cold, not much daylight left and freezing rain. Hubby dragged out the gas camping stove and boiled some water for a cuppa. image  I dug through cupboards for candles and suitable candle holders, and got the place going.

Just made the cuppa and the power was restored.

Good morning all image  We put the heating on yesterday. I was asleep when it switched on this morning - I dreamt I was waking up in a luxury hotel and we were eating breakfast amuse bouche and fantastic coffee in bed. image

Hope Obbelix and everyone else is waking to a lovely morningimage

Today I really will get out into the garden. The Under Gardener says he'll mow the back lawn image
