Its mostly wattle and goodness knows what with plaster thrown roughly at them in the museum Lesley! The walls in the education office / cupboard / fridge are very.... damaged. Previous attempts to hide the evidence / holes with thick wall paper have not helped either. I'm thinking of applying thick ply-board to the walls and either skimming them with plaster for a smooth proffesional office type appearance or applying more wall paper.
It does at least have a window (I daren't clean the glass too thoroughly) and importantly... an aloe vera plant though this might need taking home in return for a plant that accepts the cold more easily.
Clari....it's your employer's duty to provide decent working conditions. . . . . apart from that, you have your own house to deal with. Can you stick a few posters on the walls?
Sat at work, stuffing myself silly with brie and bacon roll in the canteen at work, been presented with posh gardening gloves, a hand pampering set and woolly hat from everyone at work, been made to feel very special and missed, nice to be appreciated
BusyL, sorry you were feeling out of sorts, hope the break in Norfolk restores you ?
Lantana, love how we all have purple dressing gowns! ?
Hole, nice to see you, hope you get your wood burner! ? back to work, later folks!
Hi everyone. I've taken myself off to bed early because they are viewing some stupid show on TV that I don't even know the name of. I need a break anyway. Loved the story about the over friendly neighbour finding the lady hiding behind the lounge. We've been tempted to hide when we think Regina is half expected to drop in, as she does, without warning, but in the end it just makes us feel mean instead of jubilant.
I must make an effort to remember the name of the winner of the bake off, so that I can show off and "guess the winner" when it eventually gets to our screens, thanks guys.
ive got Julie hooked on jigsaws and Zentangling so we've had lots of interesting times today. Amazing what can be seen on Pinterest and YouTube. Gordon and Hubby have mostly been ensconced in his study doing something on the computer. Meals all went off well and washing up done. Not many leftovers to done homes for, for a change. Hubby made a lemon melange pie last night and that's all gone, and of the 10 meat pies he reheated lady night, they went down well. Tonight he made an upside down peach cake and that's well under way too.
I, of course, as a committed type 2 diabetes beater, resisted.
Ive also noticed some hilarious corrections on my last messsage. Lady night should have been last night , and leftovers to done homes for should have been leftovers to find homes for. Is it my imagination, or are these insolicited corrections getting worse? I seem to spend more time correcting than typing lately.
Just waiting for secondborn to arrive with Jonah so I thought I would drop in. Gardening plans went out of the window this morning as the house really needed a bit of a clean. Also sprayed everywhere with Dettol antibacterial as we have both had horrible colds and don't want to pass it on.
Will get back to the gardening and chopping down the cannas tomorrow. Now that the dark nights are arriving I want to get the garden shipshape for the winter which arrives when the clock goes back as far as I'm concerned. Hate dark nights with a vengance and my light box is already in use for a couple of hours in the evening.
Hope the last day at your job goes well wonky.
Busy enjoy your break and don't worry too much about the relies, I speak from experience. Now I'm off to find out what Zentangling is.
Waiting for locksmith so dogs are indoors as the gates are open so he can get in. There is a handicapped girl next door who likes to come out and shout at the sun and play with her dog so they are going berserk as they can hear it all but can't join in the shouting. Instead they are "singing" to me.
I have found a garden centre online that sells pots in all sorts of shapes and sizes! I shall be off there tomorrow after the chimney sweep has been so I can get some for my bulbs as there won't be a bed ready for ages.
WW - lovely to be appreciated and have a good send off. Hosta - soup sounds good. I shall add some chilli to the big pot of tomato and veg soup I made for snack attacks. OH in Belgium so no fixed feeding times. Yvie - enjoy your visitors. Pat - yours sound a bit like hard work but I hope you do enjoy their company most of the time but, if needs be, maybe a visit form your horror would deter them.....
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Home from the coal face.
Much excitement this morning ( well a little bit ) when I drove past the famous Jamaica Inn, so that's the highlight of my day so far.
Hubby in Devon on his way home .
I've just had some chilli and tomato soup. Perfect on a day like this.
Just to add to the distractions of jigsaws, I like this site - http://www.jigidi.com/
