An explanation of the Purple dressing gown club - for the uninitiated ... I have a purple dressing gown and am often wearing it when I post on here in the mornings. Wonky Womble is my (grown up - ish) daughter and she too has a purple dressing gown which she sometimes wears on here, particularly at the weekends as she has to go to work during the week. (I don't - I'm retired )
Other people have asked if they can join the purple dressing gown club we have established that wearers of any colour dressing gown can join - the purple is just 'a state of mind' - I believe that all dressing gowns worn when posting on here acquire a sort of purplish hue when looked at in the right light
After all, the only other option would be for everyone to go shopping and buy a new purple dressing gown and that would be a waste of money when there are so many plants waiting to be bought

Ooh - I forgot to wish Wonks a happy last day at work..
Some of chicky's home baked cake would be nice for us all to celebrate though....
I'm thinking of doing some little cakes on Sunday as it's the birthday of one of the girls at work this weekend. That's if I can get in the kitchen - older fairylet is hopefully doing the 'December celebration' cake then...
I don't have a dressing gown...I just put a big cardi on over my clothes
obelixx - re the phones - I think it's just that 'young people' are so used to them, and they simply don't understand the risk. You get no signal in glens because they're too enclosed and even on an open summit it can be iffy. You can always get an emergency services call though.
I'm putting my feet up too, so I'll see you all tomorrow....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I put a warm cardi over my nightie. But when I post on here from France I'm usually dressed as the only place Internet works in our old stone house in the middle of a forest is in the kitchen.
Thank you Dove. We are aiming to go to the farm shop and nursery next Friday. Do you think they will have pheasant then? Thank you for that very kind offer. It would be lovely to see you again.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Evening all. Lovely to have daughter staying as opposed to her usual day trip BUT I want my house back. . . . . laptop commandeered for work tasks...mugs left every where...a trail of "things". I know I shouldn't clear up but I do as she is stressed out with work and health problems.
It will soon be Sunday morning and we can get back to normal.
Pat...hope things are going smoothly with you.
BL..can you enlist backing from SinL in economics and practicality vs emotional attachment dispute?
BL I'll ask OH to put a pheasant by for you to collect next Friday if you like It would be good to see you again too
Time for bed now. It seems that most world leaders seem determined to drive themselves to hell in a handcart. It's attention- seeking behaviour and I shall ignore them until they behave like grown ups.
Sleep tight folks. Sweet dreams

I'll just pop in quickly to say good morning. Just finished breakfast and clean up. Hubby and Gordon have gone to the tip. Julie and I are catching up on iPads, etc.
Fidget, I hope you found the jigsawplanet site. Lots of fun. When you get on, my photos could probably be found under the "popular tags" heading of Australia Or NSW. I usually get onto Fairygirls beautiful and inspiring photos under the popular tag - Mountains. Have fun.
its a bit difficult to spend much time on line when there are people around wanting to chat. Last night's meal was appreciated very much - crumbed veal.(schnitzel ?). Luckily Hubby like creating in the kitchen, otherwise there would be only grilled chops and five vegs from me.

So duck turned into pork with a chilli marinade, cheesy cauliflower, roast potatoes and peas.
Not sure how that happened!
Still belly is now full so we're all happy.
Place your bets on the delivery from Wickes (meant to be last Saturday) actually turning up tomorrow.
