Wonky , we've had nothing but sunshine all week here.

Don't fret about the garden at this time of year, Take it in your stride like the rest of us.

    How's the new job going?

    Devon.

I love having a big pot of crocus Wonks. I've got Joan of Arc in a large pot which gets brought out in view for the end of winter.  The cream ones are lovely too. Bung 'em in and enjoy image

The fog's always tricky on hills - fine if there's a reasonable path and you get above it, but if it lingers, it's a real pain. Bad weather can sweep in very quickly and it can be frightening if you don't know what you're doing.  I don't need to be any kind of hero either  image

Of course you will buy more crocus Joyce! image they work better than antidepressants when you see them poking through after a chilly winter! image

OK Fairy, pot selected! Its happening today! And they will be plonked on my table on the terrace (slab of slug hiding concrete), so I can see them from the kitchen table! I hope you have thermals for the foggy walking Fairy!

Hosta, I start the new job next Friday after leaving my current on next Thursday! I've been ordered some little steal toe cap boots etc image really looking forward to it! Sorry to hear of the demise of your much loved van! Great log store though! Love that idea!

    Hi all.

Lovely day here, but only just woken up. Apparently I was kicked out of bed last night, as I kept shouting about bombs, feel fine now.

Another day of dahlia and canna lifting, it is just so nice to be outside, with all the green and a robin following me, where ever I go.

    have a good day.

I too have had a lazy morning snuggled in bed and finishing my book whilst enjoying the warmth of the low sun.  This bedroom faces east and our old one north so this is a lot brighter and warmer feeling.

After my second coffee I shall get dressed and we'll walk the dogs.  Poor old Rasta was shorn yesterday and feeling the chill so will enjoy a good gallop in the sun and then I'll do a spot of planting while OH builds a compost heap.   He got excited with the sit-on mower yesterday and cut lots of "hay".  Piles all over before it died so we need a mower doctor now.

WW - I have some steel capped wellies someone gave me.   Great for heavy, winter jobs and keeping feet warm as they're a bit big and need ski socks.   Enjoy your new job.

Punk - soak up all that fresh air and serenity.   Greenery is so important.

Hosta - well done on the rock move and the weight loss.   You too SGV.

Joyce - crocus flowers are so cheery so yes, go and buy some more.   FG stay safe on those hills.

Have a great weekend everyone, whatever you're up to.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Morning image - lovely day out there.

Nice to 'see' you Wonky - hope the new job goes well - it will be nice to get paid for 'doing' your hobby won't it?

Doc - Hope things settle down for you soon - your brain is obviously in sift and sort mode after your recent experiences.

Today, I shall be movings things and getting on top of the shredding while the landscapers take their weekend break. Have 2 barrow loads of foxgloves to rehome which were dug out of the raised bed yesterday before it was dismantled. Can you have too many foxgloves in a woodland border? - hope not because I can't think where else to put them.

All the turf was stripped from the back garden on Wed so it's bare earth with a few piles of topsoil dotted about. The wrens, robins and blue tits are all over it - must be lots of worms and insects - good to seeimage

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
