  • Good morning all,

Quick hello and hope you are all ok. Busy week, hoping to have a quieter week-end but lots of jobs to get done first. Will have a read back as soon as I get chance.

Have a good week end all. image

The dry spell didn't last long - we've got that heavy drizzle that soaks you through - that's going to do the front lawn some good image

Dull and cool here, but hope to get a few things done outdoors as it's dry. Bulbs need to get planted!

That'll green up the lawn nicely Dove  image

    Morning all

We enjoyed the barn dance last night. What we all lacked in skill we made up with laughter and enthusiasm! Good dinner, Hotpot then apple crumble with a buttery crisp crumble how I like it.

We have two pots on the go - one leaded for morning dose of caffeine and one unleaded for drinking after midday so we don't buzz all evening.   Once made we heat up individual mugs as needed n the microwave so it doesn't stew.

Ginger cat has gone home.  Mum and 3 kids came to collect.  tearful teenage daughter at sight of her puss who went missing in July so good to get them back together but I do hope she doesn't do another bunk when they let her out again.

Cloudy start but clearing up now.  Chilly though.   I'm on fabric stashing and kitchen sorting today after OH has made a couple of adjustments to the wall cupboards so I can add extra shelves.   I can do it myself but a bit of non challenging DIY is surely good for his soul.    Later on he can build our first compost bin which will be good for the garden's soul too.

I hope your drizzle does the trick Dove.   Try and enjoy some peaceful moments DD.   Hope Leeds is good Chicky.   Have a good day everyone, whatever you're up to.

Morning all, on second coffee here Fairy, joining you buzzing but need fake energy to get through everything that needs to be done. I've the whole weekend off work and I'm not wasting a second!

Dove, you can keep that drizzle, we had some overnight and I have washing to dry! Plus the cats won't be very happy is cat club is rained off! image

Have a lovely daytrip Chicky! Love a train journey myself! I always get distracted by garden watching! image

Joyce, sounds like you have a day like mine lined up, just yours started earlier! image still in bed with second coffee and purple dressing gown! Had the discussion about switching to winter duvet today, we are making that change this weekend!

I hope everyone has a splendid day before them! image

You snuck in Busy.  Glad you enjoyed your barn dance and dinner.

GW - we had a steam mop but it didn't last long as the head attachment was weak.  Now have a Karcher thing which is sturdier but has a short leccy lead and, for me, a too short handle and I am only just above average height so how do tall people cope?

WW- love a purple dressing gown but find kaftans more practical.
