Thanks GWRS yes just watch the weeks weather on country file not looking good really cold and snow could be heavy on Thursday. One of my two glass greenhouses has heating and my keder greenhouse which is 8mtx3mt has a 3kw blow heater in it and heats it good.
well, might not be considered "gardening",but we've cleared the soil from the last of the beds in the polytunnel, lined and filled with water ready for water lilies.
Went out to fetch a pumpkin in from the polytunnel to make soup for lunch tomorrow and pick a Savoy cabbage for dinner and found some plants shivering in pots on the west side of the house. These include 5 clems that have started shooting so I've brought them all into the unheated but bright annex to get them thru the next few days.
The pots lined up on the south side all look OK - so far.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
Potted on some pelargoniums, sowed a few more petunia and antirrhinum. I been making a bird nesting box this afternoon with what left of a pallet from last week compost bin extension. Prepped the garden the best I can for the Beast from the East, pots / buckets on vulnerable / growing plants more some pots into the GH.
Apart from feeding the birds and trying to thaw out the ponds we haven't done much outside today. In fact OH has been taking photos as snow is quite rare in Gsy. He did paint some of my cream plant pots that are in the conservatory this morning, the paint didn't dry quick enough for him to do a second coat this afternoon.

Our forecast says it will be -5C but feel like -14C in the wind. Brrrr!
Put heater on minimum in G/H and covered some plants , just enough to stop it freezing
Garden / fields looks nice with about 4 inches of snow ❄️ and more forecast
Filled bird feeders up yesterday
