What a pretty plant that is JamesO, I have never heard or seen a Sandersonia Aurantiaca before - is it perennial - an indoor plant?
That is a good plan with planting your glads over a few weeks, we tend to plant all at once and then of course they all finish flowering at the same time too.
No gardening here so far as it has been lashing down with rain, but is supposed to brighten up later, so I will be seed sowing.
Its a plant of South Africa I start them early in the house as they really need the heating on to get them into growth. It says they are good for indoor plant as well
Thanks for the links JamesO, it is a fascinating plant, and one that I would like to grow in the future. You must keep us updated on the progress of your Sandersonia - did you buy them as bulbs, the plant looks so healthy you must have the right conditions for it.
Between the showers I managed to get a few seeds sown. Cucumber, Tagetes, and Gerberas.
Your chillies look healthy Logan. Another plant I would like to grow, but am running out of space in my cold GH.
Hi Guernsey Donkey2 that image is just on from the web site. They come as a small bulb with white leg types coming out not sure what the correct term is .
Defiantly feels like spring today played out in garden this afternoon.
Tidied front garden up - pruned / tied in all the roses - pruned hydrangea / sambucas - removed top layer of compost from GH veg border - good mulched GH veg border with homemade compost , I love homemade compost its like black gold, even the neighbour to a liking to my compost - had to bag up the rest of the compost, desperately need to turn the other compost bin into the old bin to start a new one, I've got bags / wheelbarrow full of cutting which need to go in - few improvements to the compost bin as well.
Yesterday I started planting up raised troughs but the lovely British weather (rain) stopped me from finishing so I will be carrying on with that today. Also in the next few days potting on Aldi plug plants which are Fuchsias, Diascia and Petunias. But all of that is nothing compared to potting on 160 begonia bedding plug plants which were finished at the weekend

Managed another 30 mins (yay!), pruned buddleia, cut back verbena (bonariensis and lollipop), cut away rudbeckia, foxgloves.
On my mini tour noticed my clematis Betty Corning and Hagley Hybrid both throwing up new shoots from the ground - très exciting ?
Tied in a blackberry, started getting ground ready for parsnips.
