What colour are the agastaches Verdun? I planted a dark blue a few years back, think it was called liccorice never came back, then a lovelly shorter version pretty apricot colour, cant see any sign of that either. Been tidying up, cutting dead stems of fucshias which are sprouting from the base,
Wielding the hoe in the sunshine, tackling the weedlings. Also cutting the buddleia Miss Ruby hard back and scattering Fb&b on the west border, making sure the shrubs and climbers get plenty - hopefully the rain at the weekend will wash it into the ground.
Lovely to see the tulips and wallflowers budding up, and the lupin plants looking so healthy
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Moved lots of pots to where I can keep a better eye on them and fed every single pot plus a few flwoering shrubs. Then 3 hours on the mower, largely making hay in some areas round the ruin and pond as it hasn't been cut in ages and was tended by two sheep before we moved here last October.
Found some baby mimosas which I shall pot on and grow on and then use as a screen between us and the neighbour's cow barns. Another day tho. Shattered now.

Repainted my shed a nice grey colour with complimentary cream to facia's and window glazing bars. Relayed a few slabs around my greenhouse
Planted some Hermorocallis Bertie Ferris in to the boarder beside some dark blue Agapanthus. Pruned down my smoke bush grace. Went quite hard on the pruning, more pollard. Divided some pink phlox
Tomorrow, I mulch and feed my 21 clematis so my backs going to be in bits
