If the onions sets look alright Tootles, I would plant them, but I'm a bit of a bodger
Oooh, I've been thinking about seeds too hollie hock, waiting til the end of the month when I'm off work as I use the frame of a mini greenhouse (which I need to set up) in the house. Think I've only got snaps in the Jan pile.
Did some bird feeder/table admin at first light, and later replanted some daff and camassia bulbs I had to dig up last week.
Planted up a border I'm never happy with, the sunny side of where I laid a brick path last week. It's going to be mostly light blue and orange (with a splash of light pink) but I wonder if there are too many geums and potentilla to please me. Oh also yellow, put some young eve prims at the back but they often die after I plant them out. I already don't like it, hope it surprises me?
Moved a guelder rose, is that what they're called? A white flowered hedge shrub. It moved really easily, bonus. Planted the penultimate waiting clem in its space, an alpine, pinkish.
Planted some things that have been sat on the soil in pots, persicaria x 3, marjoram and geranium phaeum.
Starting to thin out the jobs in the garden now. A bit more moving and the pond mess to sort and I'm pretty much squared for summer☀️?
Not sure if this counts but I "sowed" some microgreens today. We were watching one of the many food programmes the other day & they were talking again about microgreens. I didn't say anything to OH but remembered I had bought a kit some time ago when I was still working. & only tried one lot. So I dug out the kit out & sowed 2 trays 1 Broccoli, & one mixed red Basil & other salad leaves. Lets see how we do now I have time to keep a proper eye on them. Had a bit of a sort out in the greenhouse as well.
I started to clear the raised bed wild flower area just outside our French windows - it looks beautiful in the summer and I am hoping for a repeat this year. Last year we were blighted by bindweed growing among the flowers and this year I am hoping to beat it by covering the soil.......
I have been putting a load of soil that is full of litter and stones through a garden sieve to add to a new raised bed. I will add plenty of compost and well rotted chicken manure before planting veg. It may be the potato bed but I am not sure yet. No gold rings there though amongst the rubbish!
I managed a sneaky hour of digging before going off to do Grandad duties as GD was doing an extra hour of maths. Would have managed much more if her mother had let me know the day before.

Thanks VictoriaSponge. Yep, tough times. Hoping 2018 will be our year.
i bought some onion sets yesterday. It says to sow in Autumn. Do you think I've missed the boat or will it be ok to pop them in now?
also got some first early spuds called Christl. I spotted an older chap looking at them and he picked up a bag. That was good enough for me!
I’ve planted some tulip bulbs which I neglected to plant in November.
Ive planted them in pots, hopefully I’ve not missed the boat. ?
Cosmiccarrot, what a fab name

I braved the mud and finally rebuilt my low dry stone walls that were collapsed when I moved in and Reclaimed about 5m x 1m of garden, yay.
