Not sure you'd call it gardening but I started chopping branches off a hawthorne tree that is overshadowing the greenhouse. Sadly the shredder decided it was time to stop working so stripping that down has added itself to the list of jobs. I also started painting a plant theatre I've made my dad as a Christmas present.
I managed to prune some of my summer/autumn patio plants today and lifted them into the cold GH to overwinter, Chrysanthemum, ivy geranium/pelegonium and dahlia. I started to edge my big flower bed and chucked on a black sack full of wood chip, more to do tomorrow if the weather is suitable.
We did a few smaller trees a couple of weeks ago GWRS and will attempt the fruit trees early in the new year. I did the roses last week before the colder weather came along.
Today OH dug out a few more of the dead escallonia hedges and later helped to hang the outdoor Christmas lights in the front and driveway.
Rain nearly all day - not complaining as it's very welcome - so I've been on furniture moving and content sorting and cleaning. The only gardening I've done is to check house plants for watering and move a few around to make space for the Xmas tree which will come in this week.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

No gardening here in the East Midlands. Thick snow and some steep hills next to where we live kept us occupied for much of the day followed by the village's Christmas dinner/party in the village pub. I did remember to get out in the garden and fill up the bird feeders. They were that keen they were feeding with me stood next to it. I have also done my annual seed and bedding plug plant order for next spring which my parents have offered to pay for as my Christmas present. It is a nice gift as it fills the garden with flowers, tomatoes, cucumber, sweetcorn, etc for months.
Picking up fallen branches and pine cones, inspecting fallen tree which luckily fell in the field and not on the road, and repairing and straightening outdoor Christmas lights. Tomorrow we hope to get outside to dig or tidy up more debris if necessary.
Lots of snow here in Windsor, I don't recall it like this for 5-6 years so brushed heavy snow off of shrubs yesterday.. Just checked the forecast and -6 or -7 predicted tonight, so will dig up salvia patens and the slightly tender fuchsias. I don't fancy risking it with fleece. To think this time last year it was 13-14c
