Begonia, Lavender and Geranium seeds are starting to germinate. I was worried about the Santa Cruz Begonia seeds, first time collecting them off my plants in the fall and not buying. I think I will be waiting a while on the oriental poppy seeds, if they germinate at all. I understand they're not easy to grow from seed.
Not doing much today, have bust a rib coughing and also can't really be bothered
Unpacked two deliveries of plants that arrived this week, I left in the boxes so I could unpack in daylight at the weekend. A couple have gone a bit fluffy but they'll be fine now they're out of the packaging. Arranged them and some others in spaces on the ground.
Wandered up to peer at my 'lotment through the railings, am now paying for it but still have no access. Nothing the council says really makes sense and I was hoping I'd find a resident allotmenteer to advise but no joy. It looks smaller than I remember, but more than big enough for my fruit which happily hasn't arrived yet.
Tried to get the slime out my bird watering can and then tried to remember what I'd put in some unlabelled pots Gave up and came back inside
Tended some plants I have in 9cm pots in the greenhouse for planting out next spring. Picked off a few slugs and caterpillars. Watered a few. Pruned a few. A lovely way to clear the mind on a Saturday morning
Seems like you have had a productive morning Slum and feel better for it!
Sorted stones, small in skip, larger for keeping "just in case" and potted up some ivy, pansies and cyclamen into large pots for a friend. Thought about Christmas preparations, but put those thoughts out of my head until tomorrow....!
