Beautiful day here in Norfolk- sunny and crisp.

Unfortunately Christmas shopping and chores came first, but managed to get some snowdrops in that M-I-L had repotted for me.

We also re-sited an apple tree and I harvested some lovely potatoes and carrots that I had been growing in the greenhouse :-)

I've been raking up leaves this afternoon. Frost this morning, but quite sunny this afternoon. I still have loads of tulips to plant, but forecast seems quite sunny all week. It will be a relief from the rain.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

No gardening today , frosty this morning , football  and freezing fog this evenings

Hoping to do some gardening tomrrow image

  • Haven't really done any proper gardening this weekend...collected in some plant supports and mended a bird feeder I accidentally smashed with my torchimage (I was trying to knock the seeds down)

Went to recce an allotment I was unexpectedly offered. Took myself off the waiting list and am somehow now top of the list. Decided to accept it as I'm at a bit of a loose gardening end, also I'd like to experiment with further fruit growing and the garden is full to the brim.

Doesn't look at all bad to be fair, apart from that flytip toward the back.

Also made a few plant orders as a treat and ordered some seeds in the mad Friday sale.image

Lucky you VS looks a good plot, I sure you can recycle some of the junk. Lots of wood for a compost bin there image

End bed is now weeded and tidied up, planted with tulips, anemones and alliums. Took 3 hours and 3 barrow loads to the heap. Cup of tea time.
