Nanny B , watering can in a safe place image

A bit of pruning / tidying up this afternoon

Allotment tomrrow morning for a few hours

Tomorrow night Garden Club AGM , more of a social evening image

  • A bit of this and that today, pruning, feeding flowering plants, planting more new daffodil bulbs & supervising dead hedge digging out. My turn will come when we plant replacement - still toying with hedge versus shrubs - at the moment shrubs are winning.

  • GWRS, I HAVE the watering can, BUT cannot find its rose, I saw the blooming thing the other day, remember thining "Oh, yes I must put that back on the can".

  • I have found the little devil, no, it wasnt in my pocket, I wear skinny jeans, most dont have pockets, the ones that do, you cant get much in, the little devil was hiding in a plant pot in the top greenhouse along with a roll of sticky tape, no doubt I would soon also be looking for, yes, I have put it back on the watering can.

Been to allotment this morning , going to Garden Club AGM tonight so need a little rest now

Still lots to do in Garden image

  • There's always lots to do in the garden GWRS - it's great isn't it?

I have cleaned two of the bird feeders with a new flask wire brush this morning - just the job for the long containers and they were fairly easy to clean, but to do it every week is going to be a drag on my time, but it seems that some of the little birds are becoming diseased by mucky bird feeders. Is there an alternative?

Potted up some echium seedlings that had self seeded in the wrong place - they are fairly easy to grow on in a pot.

    Nothing,

I am away to the  North York Moors for a week tomorrow. I sank the three new plants I bought on Tuesday into the ground in their pots until I come back.

Hopefully the pots will not be rolling around the garden in the winds we  have had forecasted.

'You must have some bread with it me duck!'

  • Huh, rather than sit about legged it down the garden to get seed compost, etc. thought I would get on with some more seed sowing ready for next year, some rather pretty calendula from Sarah Raven, shot out inbetween showers, nope, I didnt bother with the "backdoor shoes" went out in my brand new metalic bronze slip ons, left on from shopping, yup, thanks I found the cat **** RIGHT BY THE sonic cat deterant!!!
