Done lots today - taken delivery of skip and digger, pruned shrubs and roses, watered drying pots and just enjoyed the lovely weather - hope it lasts .....
I bought a pack of Helleborus niger 'Christmas Carol' from Lidl this morning. £7.99 for 6. I have been good and planted them this afternoon with home made leaf mould to top dress them.
( Not left lingering in their pots, which is what usually happens when I buy plants.)
another 4 dumpy sacks filled with chippings. Lovely stuff, already steaming and it only came on Wednesday. Bamboo, variegated portugal laurel, eucalyptus and other stuff. Steamy , steamy.
thought it might just be me who got that excited about decomposition.
I've now got 47 dumpy sacks filled. Some with grass clippings / wood chippings. Some just chippings and 9 , so far, with fallen leaves. 2 bays made with chicken wire pinned to 4 trees in a square in wood too.

Two hours leaf clearing done and that's only a drop in the ocean in the mountains of leaves throughout the garden and paths.
Aym - I'm not bagging any more of them. They're going over the fence back into the wood they came from.

Finished planting spring bulbs - 110 tulips went in today. Three dahlias lifted, more to do, leaf piles made ready for lawnmower to shred.
