Today were were picking up windfall apples (there will be plenty more fallen by morning), picking mountains of mushrooms that have come from the mushroom compost that was delivered 3 or 4 weeks ago, and beach combing this afternoon, pleased to say there was barely any rubbish on the beach, and we collected a few interesting pebbles for the garden.
The wild winds yesterday swirled 5 full black sacks of leaves in through the gate!! Leaf mould for the first time next year. Lots of damaged dahlias....last of the sunflowers and cosmos tidied up today. Planted some hardy annuals. .....beautiful sunny warm day today.
Taking and trying to root shrub cuttings in a strip off the veg. patch today. I usually have some success if the cat doesn't use the looser soil for his own doings. Also sorting stored apples, there are still plenty on the trees and the folk around here like the hedge veg. stall we have at the end of our driveway.
Did my washing instead, got that up to date as it was sunny and windy. Hubby put ground stakes on the japanese style arch he made last weekend. I did look round the garden does that count!!

Spent weekend clearing & shredding some prunings, off to the allotment to add to & mix in the compost bins.

Finally started the "winter" digging yesterday did some of the easy stuff where the spuds were before. Too wet & miserable today - hence posting this.

Have done a lot of cutting back the herbacious plants and shrubs and general tidying up around the garden

None at all. I did some shopping and started making some picalili. Heaven only knows what it will be like I have never made it before.
"Nothing ventured" etc....
'You must have some bread with it me duck!'
Planted grapevine before dawn.
Mowed the southeast corner after sunset.
I should probably buy a torch.
Tin pot you are boasting . I am still in bed.??
