Hello , found that some Alpine plants where " drowning " as the trays holes where blocked , so drained it and put in g/h to dry out , hope they survive
Cleared the greenhouse and poly tunnel of tomato plants before they start going mouldy, cut down a few dozen dahlias ready for shredding and weeded a bed ready for tulip planting tomorrow. Got cold and wet!
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
Started digging our pond today - lots of minor problems - big boulders, filled skip and need at least 2 more, a soak away for rainwater from the roof and a 15 foot well - all will sort itself out eventually but this is proving to be a bigger project than we imagined.

Hosta - was that a forest of cannas?
That photo was taken about June, just before I planted it all up. All lifted again now.
The arundo donax at the back are now 2.5m tall and the viburnum which had just had a hair cut has put on about .5m.
BTW that's my prized fork which was given to me by a 72 year old gardener when he retired in 1987. He told me it was over 50 years old then.
