Michael your tunnel sounds well and truly anchored
Still on holiday until Tuesday but weather getting cold even thou sunny , looking foreword to finish off tidying garden / allotment before the really bad weather starts
Did the bird food and water and bungeed on the wooden bench's kagool then ran back inside, chased by a squall. Hope it's not going to be grim like this til March, got loads of tinkering to be done.
Faffed on with my plant shopping list and queried availabilty with a nursery. Heart wasn't really in it though. Like to get my bulbs in before buying more plants and some are still to arrive, the rest boxed or hanging up in the shed.
A little damp here today, but I managed to pot up a creeeping Jenny to overwinter and then plant around my pond - I will take some more shoots in the next few days. Tied the climbing rose onto my new trellis - which I pruned at the w/end. Picked up some of the last fallen apples and tidied the driveway of cones and wood debris.
Bit late but I managed to finish the trellis last Sunday which replaces the privet hedge I had removed:
Note the bags of 'good stuff' waiting to be added to the raised bed below, which will be planted with various shrubs and perennials which I've had for a year but are being overwintered while the soil settles and the worms do their work. Also have a c. montana which will be planted at the far end and run along the trellis.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
Logan, similar here - although it wasn't frost that got my cosmos it was snow that flattened them.... planted a load of tulips, just 110 left to go now - maybe try to get them in tomorrow :-).

The frost had my cosmos so had get rid, planted rest of wallflowers and tulips. I got yellow wallflowers, red and purple tulips in between them.
