Oh dear Joyce. I'm a bit miffed as I ordered some fancy gardening gloves, which arrived, and I've not been able to try them out. Well I don't want to get them wet do I?.
Our car had a service and MOT but is making a horrible noise occasionally so it's booked back in for Thursday. We may be in for a big bill too. Dog's going for a haircut tomorrow and son has a dental hospital visit to see if they can persuade him to have an injection for further treatment. Nay chance. They are so good and do keep trying, bless 'em. I think I'll get the holiday brochures out.
depressing day here. Lights on all day, very low light and constant drizzle. It's so warm out there I half expect to see some tropical flowers popping up. (I wish!)
my car has to go in next week, the key lock episode should definitely Not have happened.
spent the day cooking, baking and cooking apples all for the freezer. Doing my first apple and rowan berry jelly. Also have some vodka soaking celery leaves and stalks as was very poor growth this season. We shall be ready for the B...y Marys
DD sorry about the tv, can you watch the Internet?
sorry can't look back or will loose this and a wee bit weary tonight

My new scarifier/raker arrived today but as it's lectrick I can't test it out or I'll light up like Chrimpass! Also I need a wrench to change it over to rake as it arrived with scarifier in place.
Hope you've got plenty of room in your compost bin PP - we nearly filled ours just using the rake on our little front lawn!!! I had to use goggles, the dust was a bit grim as we've not had proper rain for months.
I have about half a bin's room left Dove but my grass goes to the tip anyway as there is quite a lot so a taste of thatch will make little odds. I'll drive fast and it can blow away.

It's ok BL - we forgive you...Hello! You sound like you're having a good time
Lesley - it's a bit miserable. At least it's warm. I don't want to be putting the heating on..
Cars are a bit of a necessary evil.

It's been really hot and sticky here today, and I've been baking ... I made this http://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/recipes/11726744/Honey-and-Co-book-Courgette-golden-raisin-and-pistachio-cake.html using the pattypan squashes from the garden. It's a fantastic recipe - so moist and full of flavour, yet still really light.
We also had pattypans for supper - I made this http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/food-and-drink/recipes/courgette-tart-scarpaccia-7640718.html - a bit different and very tasty - highly recommended.
Now I've flollopped on the sofa - that's me done for the day - see you in the morning folks

Evening all,
Can anyone stop that blasted scammer and their begging bowl on the other thread? Nora seems to be taken in by it!
just aired my thoughts
Are they back? I thought they had gone.
Yes Fidget, they are obsessive and transparent in my opinion!
I've posted on it and reported it again. I stopped just short of saying **** off. Might not be able to contain myself next time....
What is it with these people?
