You can have him Star.   Bit hairy and toothy.

Busy morning again.  SM run and now a 3 litre pot of bolognese sauce on low in the oven for a few hours while we move more of Possum's stuff.   I need bol for a simple supper when we arrive in Malvern next Wednesday and to freeze in batches for student emergencies.

Haven't had a single tomato or cucumber here Dove so no relishes but loads of soft fruit and rhubarb so don't mind.

I have locked keys in two cars, both times with OH away playing golf for a long weekend.  Once, over 20 years ago in the boot of a Corsa and I didn't manage the trick with a coat hanger so I ended up breaking the smallest window to get in.   The other was our newish Zafira last year.  Called the Belgian AA and there was a whole performance with prizing the door enough to get rubber wedges in to hold it wide enough to send a stiff wire across to the passenger door so its handle could be pulled to open the door.   Very entertaining.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

So, how is this for a bit of modern technology we should all know.......

apparently if your mobile phone is between you and the key the warning system won't work and the car will go into lockdown.      believe that if you willimage

I was on my phone at the time so that doesn't figure.   However I suppose it is useful to know.image

When one of the women at work locked her keys in the car, I sent for Hubby. He was an apprentice at Jaguar. When they had a new super duper security system, him and one of the other apprentices worked out how to circumvent it. It was rolled out in front of the bosses. They broke in and drove it away within a minute. The new system was not promoted. Back to the drawing board.image

Its Autumn here. The nuthatches are back.

He does nothing for me either obelixx, but I'm not usually keen on 'pretty' men anyway  image

Rubbish weather here too - it was supposed to clear up....image

We had a lady from  the Scottish Farmer in today doing a 'piece' on us. God - I hope they don't print any pix with me in 'em...image

Hoping to do Ben Starav and his two pals this weekend LP. It will depend largely on the weather which is looking ok-ish for Sunday - for now anyway. You can do the horseshoe of just two (Starav and Glas Bheinn Mhor)  but the outlying one is a pain to go back and do if you don't add it in on the same day so.....image

Better have extra rations of  porridge  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I locked my keys in our old Volvo when the girls were young teenagers. We had pulled into the fruit and veggie market but the girls wanted to continue to listen to music on the audio, so I left them in the car while baby son and I started shopping, you can guess what happened. When the song finished, they got out and locked the doors. I Had to get one of the stall keepers to ring the NRMA to break in. Before the days of mobile phones.  Son is now 42. image I now do what Joyce does, put the keys in my pocket before packing things in the boot.

time for bed folks. Catch you tomorrow.

Back in the mid 80s I worked at B&Q and folk were always locking their keys in their cars.

That banding stuff they put round washing machine boxes etc, was my method of choice.( only works with the golf tee type button on the door )I became so good at it , they used to tannoy call me whenever it happened.
