Evening all. Just woken up and laying in bed thinking about getting up. Fed the cat, HRH still asleep, Hubby and son have apparently gone to town, very quiet here in the house. Slept heavily, not surprisingly.
Fidget, Hubby cleans the chimney at the start of each season, but I do not think he has been up there since he injured his knee. I'll ask him when he gets home. I noticed that the fire hasn't been lit this morning but the air con is on in lounge room. I might suggest he puts one of those things in that burn off excess soot. We haven't done that for a while. Still a bit chilly but could manage with more clothes on when I get up.
Our son and Pixel have returned to Canberra today. It will probably take a bit of getting used to without the tinkle of her bell around the place. Still, she had a lovely holiday with us, so she'll probably settle back in at home fairly quickly.
off to Dr soon. Interested to hear what she has to say
Good luck at the doctors today Pat. I hope they find a nice easy to treat answer.
Yesterday's walk went well. It was only the three dogs (sometimes these walks have 30 dogs go! which is almost excessive). We got to potter around, the dogs got to play with dogs of their own size, everyone was well behaved, and Reggie slept all afternoon so must have enjoyed himself.
76 small visitors to the museum booked today so I best ought get myself organised. Or at least dressed!
Oh dear Pat, you've been through the mill. I hope your visit to the doctor goes well and that you are feeling a bit better.
Thanks Fairy, I'm fine. I am going sarf next Tuesday and taking OH and son with me. Lovely sunrise here this morning with everything bathed in a rosy glow. Don't suppose that will last long.
Good to have you back Lesley - glad things went well.
Hope Dr has some answers for Pat
Working in London today, so catching up with you all from a train ?
Loved my weekend of garden visits in Herefordshire - what a beautiful part of the country ? Hampton Court Castle was stunning and the Picton gardens were a riot of colour. Couldn't resist temptation in their nursery and came home with four beauties - including Calliope, which has been on my wish list for years and therefore cannot be classed as an impulse buy?
Gonna be hard to drag my mind away from gardens and into work mode this morning ? - one of the drawbacks of a great weekend.
OH is going to turn the compost today and make room for the next lot of stuff - cosmos, squash and tomato plants and before long the bean vines will join them.

Hello all. Drs visit a bit of a disappointment. She thinks it's all in my head. i can stop the medication for a week and then start a new type and see how it goes. I think she doesn't like me being critical of the medication choice. I suggested a psychologist to see if I could sort things out and maybe get off medication altogether. I've to ring the psychologist for an appointment. Ho hum. Here I go on the roundabout again.
Good luck at the Dr.s Pat, I hope she can sort you out.
Good luck too Obelixx with the removal men, nearly over now, what are you going to do with all that free time.
Hope your back is feeling better WW, make sure it is just pottering you do!
I had a lovely day yesterday, I went off to lead my ladies in the jogging club and when they realised I was on my own for the rest of the day (no Charlie with me, he normally rallies them from his bicycle, linking up the front and back runners with timing updates) they insisted I must join them for coffee and a little 'sortie'. So. off I was whizzed to one of their houses for coffee and a tour of her house ( a little tardis it was too), then lunch and in the afternoon a trip to a fête des plantes where we discussed at length the best English roses to have in an English Tea Room's Garden, and the poor exhibitors were interrogated about all their offerings. Finally at the end of the day a rendezvous was made for me to go Ballroom Dancing on Thursday in the village hall, it seems they are a mission to make sure I am not left home alone at any point, bless them all.
Anyway, have a good day all, I'll catch up later .
