Clever idea for the chair Wonky!

I'm playing the "will the plasterer visit today" game.

I'm also playing the "it's cold, wet, windy, and puppy and I are home alone. Can we bunker up in the bedroom all afternoon / evening? I'm thinking iplayer and lots of blankets.

Plasterer visited! Knows neighbours and was entirely understanding at our wanting sound boarding on the share wall to drown them out.

Dog is now hinting. Dog is not understanding the concept of a duvet evening.

Glad you're making a bit of progress Clari. Finding good tradesman is always tricky. Hope things can crack on a bit for you now.

Gosh - Pat is having a hard time....why do we have to project manage every area of our lives nowadays? Does no one do their job with any commitment any more?  Really hope you can get some resolution, Pat.  Not funny when it's your health.  image

    Good 'trellis' Wonks...image

DD - sounds like you're going to be just as busy in the future image

chicky - 'scuse my ignorance, but what plant is Calliope? Is it a rose?

B****y cold here. It's currently 11 degrees and I put the heating on when I came in for ten minutes. My hands were numb at work, damned if I'm going to be cold in my house as well.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Explain to Reggie that a hunkerdown upstairs day involves duvet picnics! In other words, things that go with torn off bits of bread and crackersnsuch as dips and a selection of cheeses, pates and cream cakes! imageimage

  • A day well spent - a load of bedlinen washed, dry and vegetable pasties made and a courgette cake in the oven, OH has turned the compost, (hopefully evicting a rat who appears to have recently attempted to take up residence)  the cosmos have been pulled up and a new bay of compost has been started - all the unripe figs have been removed and they're on the compost too image and the front lawn has had a rain-shower on it to water the grass seed.

Supper will be pasties and baked beans ... please will you lot make sure I stay awake until I've taken the cake out of the oven image

Wonky - love the chair trellis image  Very good Wombling image

    See original post

I was thinking beans and toast for dinner but that sounds more interesting. Unfortunately beams is all I have and I'm not in the mood for having to draft myself to the supermarket.

Getting cold in the house quickly. Worse still; getting dark!
