Glad you've made some progress Pat. Knowing you have their attention is a bit of a comfort to go on with
There was a poor bit of continuity on the recent TV version of War and Peace too - bridle on James Norton's horse changed within a few seconds in one bit. Quite an obvious mistake, but I think if a drama's good enough, most viewers can overlook it.
Glad the aches and pains are a bit easier today Hosta.
Lovely photo BL - but I bet you weren't thinking that at the time...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I know people are enjoying Poldark. Each to their own. I just think that given the Beeb is supposedly strapped for cash they could possible re-show the old versions on daytime or night time TV and make something new for evenings.
I have just looked at our local forecast and it seems to think we may get a drop or two of rain next Tuesday. Far too late and too little! There were storms here but they went south and north and left us high and dry in the middle.
Back to the packing now. Books, CDs and DVDs done. Now to tackle the sewing stuff. I may be gone a while. Lots of fabric..................

Quick hello, been working all morning and now off to the Post Office to check my bank account. It is new and I am still waiting for all the passwords and access numbers for online banking and am worried I can't see exactly what is going on. The new direct debits for phone and electric seemed a bit random so I want to check everything is ok, also, it has been years since I have had a bank account so I am a bit nervous about it all.
Feeling a bit down too, I was expecting not to feel fabulous all the time, but definitely experiencing a wobble today, I know things will work out in the end and where I am now is just temporary but I am missing my garden (bulb catalogues set that off) and having never lived in rented accommodation in my life before feel very unsettled. One of my friends keeps talking all about her DIY projects and obviously I haven't got any and feel very left out. Just keep telling myself that soon enough I will be overrun with DIY projects and will be complaining about too much to do - it does all seem a long way off yet though so having a feel sorry for myself moment.
So, anyway, that's that over, hope you are all ok and getting over all the aches and pains and tummy upsets of the last few days. The sun has come out a bit now so that should cheer me up. Catch up later.

DD ((hugs)) You're allowed to feel down sometimes ... we all do, and you have more reason than a lot of us at the moment. But in the grand scheme of things it's all getting better and you smile and the sunshine will appear again soon
BL I like the pork skin that's been cooked with the beans - can I have your share please
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Agree DD. You've made your escape so the hardest part is over. Adjusting to new found freedom and all that entails is bound to have ups and downs. Once you do have your own place and maybe even a tea shop you'll be very busy so regard this period as precious quiet time to gather yourself together so make the most of it.
I can get belly pork here with the skin on but I do have to go to just the one supermarket for it. I once asked their butchers to prepare me a loin of pork with the skin and they gave it to me dressed French style - so fat trimmed - and with the skin in a separate piece. Doh! Going to have to cultivate the local butcher I think.
Smelly now - lots of white spirit for the paint I inevitably get on me so a shower before tackling fabrics.

DD, it's only to be expected that you have a few "feeling sorry for myself " moments and most people will understand
Good for you to be in control of your own finances though
Just enjoy not having any DIY to do for the time being. . . . your life is busy as it is.
Think of your pots of spring colour
Many of us do as the garden starts to wind down.
Hosta Hugs for DD. Keep your chin up Poppet. It'll sort itself out, you'll see to that I'm sure.
We all have an off day from time to time. Just reflect on your overall situation now, compared with 12 months ago. x

My Rudbeckia goldsturm did not do very well this year either, only one came up out of six.
Soggy fat , ugh.
